Baby Boomer and exercise

Hi Cathe: Sorry if this has been discussed. I'm new here and didn't see the topic anywhere. What's your advise for DVDs to us in the Baby Boomer age group? I'm 55. I jog/walk for 30-35 minutes 2 or 3 times a week. I also lift weights and have recently incorporated the pyramid system into that. I can't do high impact exercises anymore because one of my feet gives me a problem. It seems that even with what I do, I can't seem to drop the 15 lbs. I put on in the last few years. Any advice?

Thanks,

Lynda

Lynda,
Not Cathe here of course, but wanted to welcome you into these wonderful forums.

I'm also a Baby Boomer and have lost considerable amount of fat and have gained a lot of muscle, because of Cathe and her crew's DVD's. Also the people here are much informed and will help you in a heart beat.

I suggest to go for the presale of STS. There, all your concerns will be met. In the meantime do what you are doing, perhaps mix it up a bit and pay attention to clean eating. Eat food in it's most natural state. With each meal include protein, carbs and a pinch of fat (the good kind, no solids).

I hope Cathe will be able to answer you, if not go to the many forums and just start talking to people. This is a valuable site for information on helping your body get fit.

My suggestion is only one, there are many ways to help keep you fit, lose weight and just be healthy, it depends on what you want to accomplish.

Again, welcome to Cathe's forums,

Janie

The idea is to die young as late as possible

Hi Lynda,
Welcome to the forum. Great people, great advice. I also am a baby boomer and love a challenge. Congratulations on just keeping fit as a lifestyle. I have several of Cathe's programs and all gave results. BUT I must say that what really accelerated my fat loss was clean eating. As we age this becomes a priority and is just far more superior for weight control and the obvious health benefits in general. Even slight changes at the beginning can produce good results. Say no to sugar and highly saturated fats. Our bodies starve for solid good nutrition and the results will be evident. HTH.
