B&G, core work w/ weights, thicken waist?

Do you think the weighted core work in BG will thicken the waist area? I'm trying to make this area smaller. BTW I love the workout. great Job Cathe!
 
In my opinion, I think it is a good idea to mix days of weighted work with nonweighted, and to break it down further, lighter weights and heavier. I don't think doing super heavy for abs all the time is a good idea as your abs need the break and the variety. That is what I do and I have a noticeable six pack these days. rowr! ;)

Secondly, don't forget the clean eating. It doesn't matter what you do for abs if the eating is not up to snuff. I know you probably heard that one before, but it is very true!

I still worry that the weights might bulk the midsection. Anyone else have an opinion here???
 
Well, Cathe doesn't have a bulky midsection, nor do any of her crew. And they're clearly doing weighted work. So I'd say no.
 
I will also add, if you are that concerned do light or no weights.
