Just finished my work out (still sweating)!

I did my usual style warm up, then 10 TGU's and then this from Z Gym::

Butt Challenge Workout # 1: Breakdown: 2 rounds for TIME!


  • 5 Goblet Squats --to-- 5 Forward/Backward Squat Jumps X 4 Sets
  • 20 Kettlebell Swings
  • 10 1-Leg Dead Lifts (each side)
  • 20 Kettlebell Swings
  • 20 Pass Under Curtsy Lunges
  • 20 Kettlebell Swings

Great work out!:D

Today I did this with some changes shown in parentheses::

Lifted Butt Series Workout # 2: Breakdown: 2 ROUNDS for time


  • 10 Forward/Backward Lunges (each) (Z doesn't use a weight. I used a 20#DB held goblet style)
  • 20 Side-to-Side Hop Squats (I did not hop but used bands on my ankles and above knees and did resisted lateral squats)
  • 20 Butt Lifts / 1-Leg Lifts (I did a 60 second floor bridge instead)
  • 20 Curtsy Lunge Leg Lifts (each) (Z doesn't use a weight. I did slider reverse lunges with a 20# DB.)
  • 20 Plank Jacks
  • 4X Burpee + 5 Sumo Squat Jumps (I did 5 burpees and 5 squat jumps x 2 rounds)
  • 20 Mini Sumo Squats (I did 40 mini squats)
and followed it up with P90X3 CVX. YIKES! Whooped my butt good! :eek:

Wendy: Congrats on the new job!! I am having some serious DOMS after that workout!!:eek: I'll have to make a note of that, since that seldom happens. Really enjoyed it, I added some tricep work so they are sore too. Great workouts, your race will be a piece of cake!! :D
 
Hello!

So my last work out was Tuesday - Heavy weight circuit as planned and one round of Tabata Training.

Y'day was a rest day because I simply had no time. I was out the door at 7am with my son to head to Liberty Science Center for the day with my sister, her DDs and my mom.

Today's work out will be a run after work this morning.

Thanks re the new job, Wiggie! It's not completely official yet but I go there at 3:00pm today to make it that way!:D

LSC on Wednesday was fun but maddening because it was packed with tons of kids (summer camp field trips, etc). UGH! :rolleyes:

I love High & Tight! Certainly feel the burn on that one! Good job!:)

So on Thursday afternoon I made the new job completely official & yesterday I gave my notice to the 2 jobs I am quitting. YAY! :) I'm actually a little sad to be leaving both of them because I do like the few clients I work with at these places but the $ just isn't there. :rolleyes:

On Thursday morning I did a quick back/core work out on the cable machine and a 30 min run of intervals/steady state/hills/flats at the gym.

Yesterday was damn close to a rest day but I turned it around after dinner with this::
Indian Clubs, T squats, Toe Touch Squats - 10 reps of each x 2 rounds
4 plank to push ups and 10 modified pull ups x 4 rounds
10 kb pick ups and 10 deadlifts x 4 rounds
10 reverse lunges right, 10 squat 2 arm press and10 reverse lunges left x 4 rounds...
10 alternating renegade rows and a twenty second hold floor bridge x 4 rounds....DONE! :)

Today, after work, I RUN!:D
 
My work out today turned out NOT to be a run (I'll run tmrw! I swear! ) so here's what I did::
One round of 10 reps of Indian Clubs, T Squats and Toe Touch Squats.
Three rounds of 10 Overhead KB Squats R, 5 Renegade Rows R, 5 Push ups, 10 Goblet Squats and 10 Bent Over DB Rows R. Repeated on Left side and then 25 two arm KB swings. Good stuff! Happy Saturday! :D

Yesterday I ran. 30 mins = 5 min w/u, 20 mins hill sprint intervals, 5 min c/d.

Today will be a weight circuit. BBL with the details.

So tmrw I am going to the new job to attend a meeting but I won't officially start until I return from vacation. I will either work 4 days a week/5 hours a day or 5 days a week/4 hours a day. I will definitely be working on Sundays but the rest of the schedule is TBD. My hours should fall somewhere between 8am and 2pm every day.

My last day at the small studio I work at in the morning is tmrw and my last day at Retro is Saturday the 30th. I feel sad leaving the few clients that I DO have but it's just not worth staying for....*sigh*......So when I gave my notice at Retro my mgr was asking if I might be interested in a training mgr/assistant mgr position (instead of leaving) because it pays for floor time (a base salary) and I told him a big reason I am leaving is because I don't get paid for floor time. I would have considered it but 1) The hours are non-negotiable and even though they are similar to my current schedule I am not crazy about them. For one thing, working 6 days per week is MANDATORY! :eek: 2) I think I would probably only want a position like that when/if I became burnt out on training some day. 3) Me?? A manager?? :confused: HAH! :rolleyes:
 
So on Monday I did about 20 mins of UFC Fit Power Punch and then I did this::

10 sec side plank R to 4 plank to push ups R to and another 10 sec side plank R.
30 second Floor Bridge.
Repeated all on left....
Did this for 3 rounds.
10 Band Walk to R.
10 Side Lunge with Shoulder Press R.
Repeated on L.
Then did 10 Modified Pull Ups.
Did this for 3 rounds.
10 Split Stance Squats with a DB Row R.
Repeated on Left.
Then did 10 Push Ups.
Did this for 3 rounds.

Y'day was a rest day. Way to bz to get a work out in!:eek:

This morning we leave to sail away to the Bahamas for 8 days! Sooooo excited! :D

I start my new job on Sunday Aug 31st - a couple days after I get back! WOOT! :D
