LOL! In that first one..I don't think I could go! I know no one could see me! But I would have a little bit of "Pee Fright" before I could get used to a bathroom like that! ehh heeeee!

I think I'd have performance anxiety in the mirrored/windowed restroom.
I would in the back of my mind wonder if there's any way anyone could see through. (I'm someone who closes all shades/curtains whenever it's darker outside than in, while a--weird, I think---neighbor of mine leaves her front shades wide open, and you can look in as you walk by and see her sitting on her sofa watching TV).
(In a related topic: I've heard there actually is a biological reason why many people are constipated when travelling. I forget what it's called ---there is an name for it---but basically our animal instincts make us unable to drop a load when we don't feel like we're in a safe situation.)
I know I am in the minority here, but I am pretty sure I could go in that bathroom. Last week I was in the ER (for 9-1/2 hours), hooked up to every machine imaginable, with a small curtained off "bathroom" in the room. Every time I had to go I had to have a nurse help me in there and everyone in the room listened while I went. Of course it is better than the surgery last year where I was in so much pain no only did an attendant have to help me to the bathroom, but also had to wipe me. Boy that changes your modesty level.
Cynthia, Those are great pics. I am pretty sure I would never be able to use those restrooms!! They are cool looking though.
Kathryn, I am like you in having to close up my window coverings as soon as it gets dark outside. My neighbor, is like yours, and has her windows all open 24 / 7 . I just need to feel privacy, I guess.
I know I couldn't use the first bathroom. I have a problem using a public toilet with stalls.
When my son moved into his college dorm, we paid considerably more so he could have a room with a private bathroom. He is the same way about public bathrooms. A "community" bathroom/shower would have been awful for him.
Okay, I'm clearly in the minority here. I would totally get a kick out of using either of those bathrooms. Perhaps it's the advantage of having a dominant left brain???
That or after spending a week rafting the Grand Canyon were the "Groover" was "isolated" but still wide open to the the outdoors, an enclosed room where you can see out and no one could see in seems perfectly fine.
I don't think I'd have a problem with the mirror toilet. Probably conditioning from my childhood (a loooong time ago). We took long car trips. Not always a rest area. My stepfather would pull over on the side of the road. Open the doors. Pee in between. Even with the cars/trucks rushing past. Nope. I don't think I'd have a problem with an enclosed toilet.
