Autumn - it all works!

Hi Autumn,

Thanks to the info in TCOYF, cross-checked with my saliva tester (I see some ferns starting!), I am exactly on track to ovulate on Saturday or Sunday. Today is the start of my fertile phase, so hubby will be a happy man tonight! This will also be my third consecutive 28 day cycle, which is the most regular I've been in 2 years. How nice to know that now, and not have to wait another few weeks for my period to arrive.

I can't believe how much happier (unstressed) I feel, now that the "mystery" of menstrual cycles has been removed. I agree with you that this book should be used as a teaching tool, starting in the teenage years. Also, imagine how much easier menopause will be, when you can monitor your reproducive cycle and connect it with the hormonal side effects that women talk about? Yes, this is a good thing!

Sandra,

Isn't it amazing. I certainly wasn't aware of all this information before a few months ago. I think yesterday was my ovulation day so now it's playing the waiting game.....
That book should be a staple at wedding showers!

AWESOME!!!!! Isn't it fun discovering all the signs? Keep that man smiling. :7

I am glad you are feeling less stressed. It really is a unfortunate that women don't know more about their bodies. Clinicans could do a better jot, but I guarentee that ladies who are well educated about fertility awareness through TCOYF or The Art of Natural Family Planning or other material know more than many clinicians. Maybe we should start educating them. :)

Take care and I will say a special prayer for ya!

Hi Janna,

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Yes, the more women know about this, the better. Who knew how easy it is to check your own cervix? And how informative it is?

Did you see a change in your temperatures?

Cheers,
Sandra

Jennifer! How are you doing? What's your status these days? You're about half way there, aren't you? How are your workouts going?

This has been my first month TTC since the miscarriage. I'm 11 days past ovulation, and am either feeling very PMSy, or am pregnant. It's too soon for a pg test, but I'm feeling quite optimistic this month. The book Autumn suggested has been the best tool I've ever come across. By charting my temps I have detected what might be an "implantation dip", followed by a "triphasic temperature shift." This is my first month charting, so I don't have a sample of "typical" cycles to compare to, but everything seems to be doing what it should! This morning during my workout I began to feel quite hot, much hotter than usual. I had to take the intensity down. This reminds me very much of the last pregnancy, right at the start, when I had to stop part-way through BodyMax because I was overheating too much. So, keep your fingers crossed for me, please!

Are you feeling the baby move? That's a fascinating experience. It's the thing I'm looking forward to more than anything else.

All the best,
Sandra
