Hey Phyllis!!! :)

I'm waiting for some contractors to show up to start work on my pool, but as soon as they do, I plan to hit the home gym and get in Muscle Max. I need to hit everything before vacation - although I'm sure this one workout isn't going to miraculously make me swimming suit fit, but at least I'll "feel" sore and think I'm getting ripped. ;) lol

Good morning Liann and Phyllis!!
This morning I did Tone It Up from the Slim Series. My problem lately has definitely been my diet. I did the Warp Speed diet for a while and then I went crazy eating complete junk. I hate when I do that.

Liann-Good luck with the pool installation. Is it one of the pools that they set in the ground or one that they have to pour the concrete etc.?

Phyllis-How do you like the June rotation? I swear I have rotation ADD. I always do well for a week or two and then I get antsy.

Beth - You would think it was an inground from all I'm having to go through to have it installed! It's actually an oval above ground pool - 21'x41'. We got it wholesale online, so in the end, we are paying less for everything than you would if you went to a pool store and had them put in a much smaller one. If it had been smaller, we would have put it in ourselves, but DH and I took one look at the parts for this one and knew we were going to have to hire someone. Which is why we had to deal with all the permit crap.

I'm working hard on my diet this week too. The past few weeks have been AWFUL! It's hard to reign it in after uncontrolled eating because you are so used to eating more than you should and your body isn't happy with normal portions. :(

I'm going to have to join you all on cleaning up the eating! DH and I have been out and about this week running errands (we both teach, so we're off on summer break), and so we've been eating out more than usual. Not good! :)

Liann -- That is so cool that you're getting a pool! Where did you end up getting it on-line? I'd love to get one, but DH isn't really a swimmer . . . .

Phyllis -- How has the June rotation been coming along? I need to get out my Pyramids and start using them again. I get lazy about all the weight-changing in those ones, but they sure give me DOMS!;-)

Beth -- Is the Slim Series one of the Beachbody series? Is it a good one? Of course, I shouldn't be asking about it since I shouldn't be buying any more workouts!;-)

I'm with you all on focusing on my diet this week. It's the little things that creep up that get in my way. Like the fact that I forgot we bought double stuff Oreo's at the grocery store. These are my fave cookies and we never ever buy them. I gave in to DD this time though. I forgot all about them until I saw them in the cabinet this morning. Now that's all I'm thinking about..x( Thankfully we haven't opened them yet. It's so much easier to resist when the package is still sealed.

I'll BBL when I should be working...:7 :p
 
Leanne - Your hair is sooo cute!!! When did you cut it? I got my pool from royalswimmingpools.com. They actually have really good customer service (I called them like a million times with questions) and the pool was here in a week. It's been sitting in my garage for several weeks while I was getting the building and zoning permits taken care of. You have to do everything minus signing away your first born child in my township to get a permit for anything!
 
Good Afternoon Ladies,

I am trying to work up the motivation to do an upper body workout today. Since I have to concentrate more on running for my Nov event I am thinking of cutting back the weights to one day PUB and one day B&G and then doing four days running. Right now I have the upper body split into two days.

Diet is an issue with me also. I find that I do better when I allow myself small little treats every day. If I get into that all or nothing attitude one little slip turns into an all day binge. I still have a few extra pounds I would like to take off and I have been struggling with them mainly because of diet. Lately I have been focusing on trying to eat more veggies because I know I do not eat nearly enough.

Liann -- You're so sweet! Thanks for the compliment on the hair! I got it cut this past Saturday, and am still getting used to how short it is. I figured that I should update my avatar so I'd look like me for the RT. :) Oh, thanks for the info on swimming pools. I may have to check that out!

Jacque -- Hope you can get that upper body workout in! Just think of how great you'll feel afterwards! I'm with you on trying to get more veggies in. I love fruit, esp. this time of year when everything is in season, but it's got so many more calories than veggies! Ug!

Melissa -- Ummm! Oreos! I can't keep that stuff in the house, or I'll gobble it right up. I try to buy treats for DH that I don't like, but sometimes that doesn't always work! ;-)

My in-laws and BIL are arriving here this afternoon; they're moving here to San Diego from Wisconsin, and my BIL is going to be moving in with us for a few months. UG! I'm not a happy camper about it, but am soooo glad that I at least have the RT in August to look forward to! I may not get a chance to check back in later, but will see you all tomorrow for sure! :)

Liann, you made me laugh when I read the "ripped" thing. Its so true!Whenever I finish a hard WO, I feel like I look great. :)

Beth, maybe you haven't found a rotation that you truly like. Just make up your own - that way it'll have all your favs and you won't feel like your cheating.

Leanne, the June rotation in pretty good although I need to up the cardio to zap some fat. I HATE switching weights on the barbell, so I only do PLB when it shows on a rotation.PUB kicked my a** this morning.

Melissa, you are so right. If the pkg isn't opened, I'll think twice about it. When I'm craving something and I spy it then - forget about it - it's down the hatch.

Jacque, it's easier to eat veggies now with all the fresh choices available
