AUGUST ROTATION CHECK-IN 8/15

Good morning ladies...Welcome to Day 15:)

All I can say is I "attempted" to do this one. It's very time consuming and I underestimated the time I needed to complete it. I thought all I needed was an hour. It really takes closer to 2 or at least 90 minutes. The toe touches are okay.. but those burpees..ughhhh! Anyway, I did everything else except for the 400 sit ups, I only manged to squeeze out 100. I'm dripping sweat and have to get ready for work, plus I woke up late. This took me about 50 minutes. I took my time with the burpees because of previous knee problems. I'm not sure if I will get a chance to repeat this one today:-( . I'm tired, hot, and running late for workx( .

I hope you all are successful with this one...Good luck;-) ,

Katrina

Good Morning!
I finished this in 75 min. I felt like it should have taken 60-65 but I had to take a breathing break because I was in the basement alone with my cat and I never taught her to call 911. This was the toughest for me so far. If anyone thinks that it's easy I will kiss your feet!

Thanks,:) :)

I switched Monday and Tuesdays workout around-I like to work upper body every other day.I have so far done ctx upper I don't have circuit max anymore so I am going to use power circuit two times later on today and add on some abs.

Good morning,
I don't like these mishmoshes so I opted for Donna Read Hi/low Intervals to the Max with core strengthening. 75 minutes of good stuff!

I will be subbing tomorrow also, don't have CM or CTX..

Have a great day!

I did the best I could. I did not do the burpees because I knew that there'd be no way I could 100 once, never mind a second time. I just did low impact. I marched in place for jump roping and modified some of the jumping jacks. The alternating lunges were good, felt that in my thighs.

Once in a while it's good to do a workout without any equipment.
Have a great Monday everyone!:)

Good morning all:

WOW - good job to those already finishing today's workout.

I had DH's 40th birthday party this weekend and never found time to workout ;( BUT, I'm back on track today and can't wait to get home and get caught up. I saw such great results over the first week, I need to get that motivation and committment back and get some more results. :)

Good luck!

~Marcia~

Good to hear about this one as I will be doing it on Wednesday. I would like to know the time it took, and if you broke it down or did it straight through as is.

Today I will swim at lunch and do the 3 mile run(probably walk if achilles is acting up), and leaner legs. Tomorrow is rest(yay!).

Good Morning Everyone,

I truly think Cathe meant to kill us all with today's wotkout! Well, I attempted it!

100 toe touches - Done
100 burpees - Done (only by the grace of God)
jog in place for 5 minutes - Done
100 jumping jacks - Done
100 alternating front lunges - Done
low pulsing hover squats for 2 min - Done
jump rope for 5 minutes - Done
50 push ups - Done
400 sit ups - 400 crunches instead (was running out of time)
REPEAT - NO WAY, NOT TODAY - Will be replaced by evening 1 hr pilates mat class

That was my attempt for the day; onto tomorrow's challenge!

Ok I haven't done it yet but plan to in a couple hours. Right now My business appts have me busy until then. You ladies are scaring me:) I will do what I can and later I plan on mic or rhtymic step for cardio since it is arriving today. The burbees have me worried but I may modify them. Good luck everyone!

I didn't do the mish mosh either, and after reading your posts, I'm glad. I simply do not like these calesthenic type exercises, plus I wouldn't have had the time to do this. I did do the last mish-mosh, but it was shorter and I was traveling, so it was convenient to not need equipment at the time.

I took my rest day Saturday and did the 3 mile run and LL yesterday. My quads are still fried. Not sore, just fatigued. Today I did the cardio portions only of CTX All Step and Step and Intervals. I thought I was going to die on the intervals with plyo and air jumps. My quads just couldn't handle that work load. I'm not going to have time tomorrow for that whole workout--close to 2 hours. I don't know how I'll do it, but may skip part of it.

I have to say I have been dreading this day since I first read this rotation!!! I almost decideD to subsitute a couple of videos because I don't really like this type of workout either. I did the best I could.
100 toe touches - good
100 burpees - almost impossible, but I got thru it -- Yeh!
Jog in place 5 minutes - good
100 jumping jacks - good
100 alternating front lunges - good
Low pulsing hover squats - good
DH has the jump rope !!
50 push ups - had to take a break after 30, but did it all.
400 situps - wow - could only do 100, then swithched to crunches for 100, then back to sit ups for 50 and finished up with 50 more crunches.
Since I didn't have the jump rope I did CTX Kickbox

Round two -

100 toe touches -good
Burpees - never thought I could do it... Did about 40, then did sets of 20 after the jumping jacks, after the front lunges and after the hover squats.
Had to take breaks after 20 and then every ten on the pushups.
Situps -- are you kidding!!! I made it thru 40 more situps and 60 crunches every which way. So I made it thru a total of 400 including both rounds.

Then I did Firm Super Cardio Sculpt since I didn't jog or jump rope on the second set.

I AM SO GLAD THIS WORKOUT IS OVER!!!!

I am thankful my little guys slept later today so I could get all this in this morning!

I am looking forward to Circuit Max and CTX Upper Body tomorrow!

I thought it took me a long time, too, for the Fiesta. I have the Cathe CD and went through the music twice before I finished. It is a 60+ minute CD.
I wouldn't have been able to get all those burpees out if I hadn't have done them in sets, with brief rests between them.

Now as for today, no problem with the Cardio on Circuit Max, but the light weight work just about killed me. Then CTX upper, well, I was quite disheartened by the amount of weight I was able to use, and my push ups were pathetic. That workout is pretty new to me, and I have a harder time with it than others. I think it is the pace of the reps. But I am usually able to be at or close to Cathe's recommended weights.....but not today. I mean, I was down to 5#'s for biceps! ;(

Tomorrow is another day.....so I am encouraging myself to just believe that this rotation is confusing and shocking my body into higher fitness levels.:)

Good afternoon

Today is day 13 of the rotation for me. I substituted 45 minutes of Step Blast (including the challenge) and then did Leaner Legs with a 43 lb barbell. I am definitely looking forward to my rest day tomorrow!

Congrats to everyone who has finished day 15!

good evening all!
well, the FITNESS FIESTA was NOT fun!!!! LOL...

I did the whole thing once, except for the burpees. I knew I couldn't do it, so I opted to run 10mins at a fast pace instead. I did not attempt this 2x. I replaced the second round w/ a 30min circuit weight training class and 30mins of powerwalking. I think that will do for me today!!

I'm ready for tomorrow's workout!!

take care:)
Gloria

Everybody is doing so great on this rotation I enjoy reading everyone's post so inspiring.I finished mine for the day powercircuit 2 times.can you believe I have never done this little gem I have been missing out.I added LL abs and stretch all total I worked out 2hrs and 3 min burned 677 calories for the day.Ready for tomorrow.I haven't decided yet if I want to do the fiesta or run 3 miles since I missed it sunday and put the fiesta at the end of the rotation.

Got the 3 mile run done, it is like a sauna outside, not hot, but probablu 98% humidity. Now on to Leaner Legs, and tomorrow rest!!

I did my 800 "sit-ups" yesterday except there were only 25 actual sit-ups (hurts my back) and the rest were crunches from all angles. Today I decided to do everything except for the jacks, jogs, burpees, and jumping rope during my lunch hour at work. I have access to a very large empty office space and I've brought in weights, stability ball and DVD player and I try to do additional weight work a few times a week. Anyway, I forgot to bring a printed copy of the rotation so I went off memory and thats where I went wrong! Boy did I mess up!x( I thought I was supposed to do 400 (x2) walking lunges and so thats what I did in addition to 200 alt lunges, 2 - 2 min hov squats, 200 toe touches, and 100 push-ups. I broke the WL up into sets of 100. Boy were my legs fried. And when I looked at my computer next, my jaw hit the ground :-( Came home, could only do 100 burpees, couldn't handle doing any of the other exercises so got on the treadmill for 45 minutes. I am going to tattoo the rest of the rotation on my forehead so I don't mess up again!

Great job everyone on getting through all your workouts today. Sue
