Hi Ladies,
Yesterday ended up being a rest day.
I prefer to take my rest days when they fall during the work week. I don't schedule rest days, but usually end up with a weekday rest day due to work schedule or over sleeping.
This morning was my "long" run for the week, it was 5 miles. Since I'm following the Novice program there is plenty of time for weights. My longest run before the race is 10 miles. In the past I used the intermediate program that required more mileage. Since I haven't ran steadily for many years, the novice program will work great for me.
My run was followed up with BS CSB, Core #1 and 200-30# kb swings. Now it's time for breakfast and errands!
Sue-nice job with Xtrain! Just curious, do not like doing cardio? I love cardio but will never give up weight training. I'm changing my breakfasts this week. Normally I have 1/3C oatmeal (which I eat cold like cereal), with 1 scoop protein powder, 1tbs chia seeds, 1tbs flax meal, cinnamon, 1 C mixed berries and 1 C almond/coconut milk. This week I'm going to make baked eggs/egg whites with veggies in a muffin tin...and probably still have just oatmeal....still trying to find a healthy carb to go with my eggs.
Tina-Congrats on tackling and succeeding Mt. Washington!
I love that you call kayaking a "relaxing paddle"!
Enjoy your circuits...the time just flies during those workouts!
