Good morning everyone!!

Thought I would pop in the say hi to you...I am getting ready to do Muscle Max today...I am still somewhat sore. So, I hope this helps not makes more soreness!!

Anyone watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics?

This morning I woke up sore all over my legs again and now my calfs are on fire! It's hard for me to walk, lol! I wonder how I will do C&W today. This is the first time ever that my calfs are sore, and I've worked out my calfs before, but I usually stop a lot because I couldn't take it, lol. Yesterday I didn't stop at all.

Kathy: I know how you feel. I'm still sore and got to do C&W, and that has a little weight workout there. I've been sore all week. Have fun with MM, I got that one on schedule for next week :)

Good morning to Kathy, Ivy and all that follow,

I just finished my "don't have time to do Cathe, but have to get something done" workout and let me just say that I'm going through serious Cathe withdrawl, even though It's only been 2 days without doing her workouts :eek:.

Kathy and Ivy---If you have some Epsom salt, scoop 3/4 or 1 cup and add it to the warmest water you can tolerate and just soak in the tub...do be sure to drink some water before getting the tub...this stuff works nicely to ease muscle soreness. Have fun with CW and Muscle Max today!

The Olympic opening was extremely enchanting to watch! What did you think?

Kathy, have fun with Muscle Max -- get buff! :) (And then tomorrow is your day off so you can recover, right ;-))

Ivy, try the epsom salt thing that Justine suggested but there's this item called Banalg (http://www.drugstore.com/qxp10332_333181_sespider/banalg/muscle_pain_reliever.htm) that DH and I use when our muscles feel sore. No more IcyHot for us after we found this thing.

Justine - so which non-Cathe workout did you do?

I ended futzing around yesterday cursing myself for turning my pizza party from the night into my food for the whole day (ah, such is the problem with leftovers). But I got DH to help me figure out the footwork to HIS so I can finally say I got it down (yeah right, we'll see what happens the next time I tackle it). It's funny, the part where I had my back turned I could do just fine on one side, but not the other and for whatever reason the blast that followed, I had the damned time placing my feet before that power leap, but I think I have it now.

Since I didn't do that circuit workout yesterday, I'll either do that today or tomorrow. I feel a bit undisciplined compared to most of you but I'm in the mental stage of, get something done! Maybe now that I've almost gotten all the 4DS footwork down, I'll do the 4DS month rotation.
 
Lower Body Solution Rotation

Hi Everyone! Well, I just finished CW and it was awesome! I burned 430 calories. I can’t my day off was this past Tuesday, and my next one is next Friday!! So I will be workout for 10 days straight!! That’s how it says it on the rotation, so no rest day for me till next Friday. I did remember Iris when Buttercup came up; I was cracking up while working out. I might be singing that song all day, lol!

Justine: Thanks for the salt recommendation. I will check tomorrow at CVS to see if they have it. A bathtub sounds super great right now! I might do that today.

Hottie: Thanks for the info on Banalg, it has a 5 star rating! I will have to wait till I get an amazon.com GC from my survey to get that soon on amazon. Yesterday night I had nachos and wings, and for lunch I’m having Pizza! I can kick myself for that. But, for dinner I will make something healthier.

I have to eat lunch now, get my son for a nap after, then sweep and mop my house. Later in the afternoon we might go out with the kids for a fun festival they are having here in town for the kids. I hope you all enjoy your day and workouts today!

Hey Ladies!!

I didn't think I had it in me, but I got Muscle Max DONE! The thing I like about complete body workouts is, you do get to move on to different muscle groups. Which I like , when one part of me is crying. I still was sore from the week, and this was a tougher one for me to do today. Most sore was my upper back, so I went a bit lower on weights. Although the kickbacks with the band burned like CRAZY :eek:!!

Kathy: How was MM for you? I did watch some of the Olympic Opening Ceremonies (my kids took over the TV for cartoons for a bit). SOOoooOOo freakin COOL! It's amazing the productions they put on and the number of people that worked it. Hope to watch some of the competitions today!!

Ivy: WTG on C&W!!! Hope you find something to make your calves feel better!That's crazy 10 days straight of workouts! That's really how it goes?? The festival sounds fun, enjoy yourselves!!


Justine: I understand "withdrawal" from Cathe! She and crew are very addictive!! No one else compares!

Hottie: Leftovers will get ya every time! But no worries. A day or 2 "off" a week really won't kill ya. I usually take Sundays off from eating healthy (we get take out), and I've managed to maintain and even LOSE a few pounds to boot! Hi-5's on getting the HIS combo!!! You definitely are persistant! Good for you! Which circuit are you doing today?

I am being a total slug, I muts go get some stuff done! It's soooo nice and laid back having DH home and awake on a Saturday. (usually it's just me and the kids)...

Hey Everyone, hope I can remember all the comments I want to make. Checking in with the Gauntlet this morning -- very fun! But boy, the pina colada song threw me -- I thought I was done and then she had more!! And, I had to laugh when buttercup came on. :)

Hottie, with tricky step combos I often can do one side but mess up the other!

Vilma, I think I was sometimes the lion, and sometimes the gazelle -- really, it depended on the length of the sprint. I really like how he goes to shorter sprints in that one.

We were in Mendocino for vacation -- it's on the coast of California about 3 hours or so north of San Francisco, not far from wine country. It's really beautiful there, though it was foggy much of our trip this time. We didn't mind!

Just finished up with Muscle Max..I am glad to report that I was able to match Cathe's weights and went a little heavier on the lower body..I could actually move my arms with pain during the warmup. That is how I knew that today's workout would be a good one..

Beth: I love the Gauntlet. I did it before I went to Florida and will be doing it more often...Sounds like a lovely trip!

Ivy: That is one tough rotation. At least tomorrow is scheduled a walk for you or do you run?Enjoy the festival! I need to get some floors cleaned too. Not sure when that will happen though..HAHA

Chris: MM was good. Except that core work. Those jack knife things get my every time!!I enjoy overall body workouts. I like hitting every body part when I lift weights! I was burning too doing those band kickbacks!!

Hottie: yes, tomorrow is a rest day. I usually do a yoga workout or stretch. We may go for a family bike ride. That would be fun!

Justine: Thanks for the advice. I am going to try that for sure!! I miss Cathe when I do other workouts too. I feel like I don't really get a workout. She has spoiled me!!
 
Kathy Hi-5 on completing MM! I can't wait to do this workout next week. I won't be running tomorrow, but I might walk or just do a light cardio workout. Thanks! We'll see if we can make it to the festival, looks like it might rain :(

Hearing about C&W made me go, yeah, I'll do that one, I love that workout but then as I did the step kick in the warmup, my left knee - yes the one that got rammed in my a Haz Waste cart that I thought was ok - made a sound and subsequent pain that I didn't quite expect it to. (Actually, DH freaked when he realized the sound he heard came out of knee...he thought I had broken some plastic.) So, back to elevated foot and Bayer.

I'm actually really bummed.:(

Hottie: Oh no! I can't believe that happened. Don't feel bad, just rest your knee until it feels much better, don't want it to get worst and then can't workout for a longer period of time. I know exactly how you feel though. I hurt my ankle about 3 weeks ago, and couldn't workout for 2 weeks. I hope your knee gets better really soon. I might need to make an appointment for the doc to check my ankle, because even though I can workout now, If I bend my ankle it still hurts.

Hottie Don't want to sound like mom here but you might want to get that knee looked at. Yikes if DH heard the sound it made it can't be good. (Sorry.) How are you feeling?

Sounds like every one had good work outs. Way to go on MM, Gauntlet, CW etc. Gotta love butter cup I am singing it now. how are the DOMS?

Today I did super sets and a 4 mile run/walk with my friend. DH and I couldn't go on a run because our oldest son wasn't home to watch the 2 younger boys.

We have we have another showing tomorrow.:D thats 2 in one week. Can't believe it. I guess it help to lower the price 30,000

HOTTIE!..OMG, sorry your knee 'popped'! use ice for the first 24 hours , and then heat if it still hurts. REST it!

Hi everyone!! Late checking in, but oh well..lol I didn't work out because I woke up late this morning *sigh*...and now will have to swap for tomorrow even though I work a double...arrgghh...I feel so damn guilty if I miss one, I hate that feeling! Anyways it's good to see everyone had great workouts today!

And wouldn't you know.....on the way to work this morning "Buttercup" was on the radio? Talk about Karma...........That's my punishment for staying out late/waking up late today/not working out...hehe
I thought to myself " I wonder if Ivy is doing C&W right now" lol

The Gauntlet was great! Nice WO I may need to include it more in other rotations.
