Good morning ladies!! Today was Cardio Recovery from Insanity. I actually was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't just stretching. There were some planks and some lower body work. This would be a good day to add on a run, but the gym here at work is closed this week. Boo! I want to run with my new ipod!
Chris, I'm actually kind of enjoying Insanity - don't want to scare anyone off! The first month workouts are about 40-45 minutes, but I think the second month are closer to an hour. If anyone wants to borrow if after I'm done with this rotation, let me know. Or if you want to try out a few of the workouts. My DH's sleep bugs me sometimes too! I know he works nights, but I think I get about as much sleep as him! It only irks me a bit when he sleeps in till noon on a weekend and I've already been up for five hours doing stuff. I never got a shipping notice from Physique 57 - they just showed up. I wanted to add one in today, but there was alot of leg work in the workout I did and Caitlyn was up, so I didn't get it in. My dad is actually having the laser procedure for the kidney stones, but they give you some type of light sedation. They did reschedule at a facility right next door to a hospital. Which of course is freaking my mom out. But, it's good that they are taking precautions and if something goes wrong, they are close to the hospital. OK - I'm rambling all over here!
Beth, wow, triple digits! It's miserable here - 60s and raining. Ick. Awesome birthday party for Dylan!! I, too, wish my kids would want theirs somewhere else!! Caitlyn had a total meltdown about her birthday last night. It is Sept. 6, which is Labor Day weekend. I told her we should have her party the next weekend, because some kids might not be able to come on Labor Day weekend. Total tears and meltdown. She said it's too long to wait. And, then she kept crying that no one was coming to her party. I couldn't get a word in. I was trying to tell her it's more likely they would come if it's the next weekend. Then she tells me she's hated all her birthdays. What??? That really kind of hurt cause I've always tried to make them special. I think she was just being a punk. Ugh!! Are all girls like this?? So, it's all up in the air.
Wow, we've got a lot of kids' September b'days here!
About the flu...we did get a notice home from school, but I just glanced at it. With all the other papers coming home, it got lost in the shuffle. I think they are strongly encouraging the flu shots, but it's not mandatory. We always get flu shots for all the kids since Caitlyn is a high risk because of her heart.
Our school instituted a new food policy, too. Basically, no food can be brought in for parties, birthdays, etc. Last year it was only pre-packaged stuff. Yea, like that's healthier. They now have a no nuts policy. Which actually I'm kind of glad since Caitlyn seems to be allergic to walnuts along with hazelnuts and she's probably allergic to other nuts. Peanuts she's fine with. We've just been avoiding any type of nut besides peanuts with her.
Kathy, have fun with your cardio today.
Hi Vilma, Hottie...
