Good Morning Everyone,
Is anyone neverous b/c it is Friday the 13th??? I don't beleive in all that hype soooo Im not nervous.Just another day.
Today is finally an easier day.C&W are on the agenda for today. My buns are so sore.I did ME on Wed night, then I did PS LEgs yesterday morning.I was thinking that my legs were going to be sore from ME but I don't think that there was enough time in between the two workouts. Now I am feeling the pain from both of them at the sametime.:) A friendly burn though!:) I also went ahead and did my 20 min run yesterday morning. Its a good thing I did b/c I forgot we had somewhere to go last night.
Eating as also been really good here.I am following the BFL eating plan, which keeps my cals at a sensible level and it also keeps me from popping sweets into my mouth.
I hope everyone as a good day.I may get a chance to check back later.

Hi Lori and everyone who reads this afterwards.
Week two is well under way. In place of IMAX2 I did an interval workout on the treadmill. It was Cathe's "sprint workout" that she posted recently, however I extended it to 45" by increading the number if intervals and increasing the length of the later ones. Now I don't run much, and this was a real challenge.

The next day (8/12) I went to my son's 25 hour relay. I felt that I should contribute... So, I go on the track, walked one mile then ran 3 miles. I am sore today.
Funny how IMAX2 and L&G don't make me sore, but running does! Today I will do a circuit workout or HSTA.

PS The 25 hour relay went very well; my son ran a total of 19 miles over 25 hours. BTW the money pledged is going to a scholarship fund for the children of a local family who's father was killed serving our country in Iraq.

Morning,

Happy Friday, Yeah!

Last night, I did and enjoyed Legs & Glutes & 20 minutes intervals on me treadie. Sunday, I’m going to start Cathe’s August rotation with a bang! I was thinking to rotate MIS, L&G and P90x Leg workout for the first 4 weeks.

I can remember once I did a 4 week rotation with MIS and I got GREAT results from it. I believe I was working it 3x a week. I shall see. I don’t want to burn myself out with L&G I love that workout. Tomorrow, after my walk I’m going to do 200 walking lunges, OUCH!

Today, is officially my rest day. Well, enough for now have a great day all.

Good Morning Everyone!
Well, last nite was IMAX2 & I am really sore today. That was a rough one a day after those 200 walking lunges.
Hopefully tonite will be HSTA (usually Fridays & Saturdays are hard for me to find time to work out.) But, if I don't get it in tonite, I will double up on Sunday like I did last week which seemed to work out quite nicely.
I am having a sad day today b/c the tree that I planted is dying & I believe I've killed my dd's tomato plant by feeding it. So much for my green thumb...
Have a great weekend!!!

Hi girls!

I did HSTA this morning for the first time. It was a good solid workout. Will have to do the abs tonight because I ran out of time. Tomorrow is KPC and then rest on Sunday. I really like doing this rotation. I think I am sticking to it better than just choosing a workout every morning.

Have a great weekend.

I did HSTA for the first time this morning - all I can say is WOW!!! did that pack a punch or what? I didn't realize there were 5 sets of leg press - managed only to do 3 cycles of it. Had to modify the cardio a bit too and I was using my purple step from the fanny lifter.
My legs have been feeling tight all week.

Just wanted to check back in after my WO. I had printed out the sequence of HSTA but do not own the DVD. So, with music playing at 140bpm I attempted tried to follow the work out sequence. For the cardio I just ran on the treadmill for 2" each time. I think I did OK. I wasn't sure how long to do each exercise so I went for one minute or until I couldn't do any more. For many of the weighted exercises I ignored the beat of the music and tried to go at a safe pace. Also , counts were varied for the longer sets to keep the workout unpredictable and interesting.

Can anyone explain the chest flys with glute tucks? And can anyone explain the push ups on the step walking?

I ended with abs from CTX.

The chest fly w/glute tuck is (if I remember) is lying on the floor, knees bent, 2 feet on the 8" step, push up from the heels squeezing the glutes (lifting them off the floor) & doing a chest fly at the same time.

The pushups walking are one hand on the 4" step, on hand on the floor, Push up, then switch hands, floor hand goes to the step, step hand to the floor, repeat. So, you are going back & forth across the step.
Make sense?
Lynne

Hi All,

This morning was my first attempt at HSTA also. I thought it was great fun-except for the never ending leg presses. I too will also have to do the ab work tonight-after a 6 mile run if I can squeeze it in. Went to lunch for a coworkers birthday, and did pretty good.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Today is Imax 2 for me, but I am going to go for a walk instaed. That workout just really bugs my neck and shoulders. I have a very hilly, 4.5 mile walk I love to do sometimes, and that is what I am going to do for today. Have a good night everyone.
Lori

I did HSTA this morning (not my first time doing this one). For the first time, I couldn't finish all of those tiny presses while squatting as my legs reached failure. My legs are still tired from those walking lunges!

Hi Ladies,

Last night was an 5.5 mile interval run and 200 walking lunges. Today was a 5.5 mile run and HSTA. Had a great workout..

Enjoy your weekend!!

Beverly

OK, Thanks! your description is just how I attempted these exercises, however were the glute tucks on legged or both? I did them one legged and the swithched for the second set.

Good Morning Ladies....Last night I went for a 5 mile walk, and I did it in one hour, and I huffed it. I was really cruising, and I went up many hills. I am going to do it tomorrow night, too. I have had so many problems with my neck lately, I work out in my basement, and those high intensity aerobic workouts kill my neck. I broke it when I was 17, and it really bothers me alot lately. I am going to try HSTA today, it has cardio, and weights, so I think I will be ok. Take care everyone.
Lori

Good heavens Lori, how did you break your neck? Horse? Diving?

Walking is a great idea...my stepfather broke his neck too, years ago & walking was a Godsend for him.

You take care!:)

Glute Tucks...

Cathe has you do 8 with one leg on step, one in the air to a 2-2 count. The arms hold weights and start in the fly OUT position and as you lift your glutes up 1-2, the arms fly UP 1-2 and then glutes lower down 1-2 as the arms lower down 1-2. Does that make sense? She then switches 3 more times. (total of 4 times) She then places the hand helds down and you do regular glute lifts with BOTH feet on step and no weight although I hold both handhelds on my my thighs as I do these lifts. HTH!
