Hi all:

Just wanted to let you know that they have reformulated the product and the calorie count went up almost 100 calories... The bars are now up to well over 400 calories per bar. Also, they have decreased the protein amount slightly as well.

Apparently, Chef J decided to reformulate for increased shelf life and moisture retention.

That's the bad news.. the good news is that they are even better tasting!

I thought my eyes were going bad! When I first started eating them 2 months ago, they were dry and kind of hard and weren;t too terrible on calories. Did the fat content go up, too? Now they're very moist and melt in your mouth. I thought I just had a bad bar here and there. They definitely taste 1,000x better! The choco. chip cookie dough one is my favorite. He came out with 2 new bars....I'm waiting for Jerseyjoe.com to post they have it. He said they should be getting it this month sometime. I don't want to get a box.

Can you tell me how much protein each one has? Am I missing seeing it? I see the other values, but not the protein.

On the website they were advertising some type of new one, the name was "Rage" I believe.. Are those the new ones that Jersey Joe.com is going to get?

I do like the new and improved taste too.. bummed about the additional calories though.

I don't have a nutritional label from one of the old bars, but I would venture to say, Chef J probably added more fruit juice and glucose syrup to make it moister. The sugars in those products will help to retain moisture and give the product the improved mouthfeel.
And, unfortunately, add more sugar, but oh well!

Yup, it's the Rage jerseyjoe is getting. When? I have no idea. I don't want to buy the box and find I don't like it. I don't want to waste the moola on it. I searched other sites to see if they have it in single bars like jerseyjoe and they don't. Joe told me they updated the website on thursday. I don't see any difference.

It sucks they added more sugar and fructose but at least it tastes better and you don't need to down it with water or coffee anymore. Hopefully he will come out with more flavors. I'd like something like chocolate with PB chips or something like that. }( :9
