RE: What weekend in April is NOT good for you??
Any weekend in April is good for me (as far as I know).
As for the hotel -- there are so many to choose from, it is a little difficult to know what everyone will agree upon. I really don't know what everyone is thinking in terms of price. In any case, here are a couple of suggestions:
1. The Westin Galleria
Located within the Galleria mall (one of the best malls in Dallas) and it's a Westin (so it's nice). It's also not far from Addison (which has some of the best restaurants and night-life spots in the area). It's a bit of a drive to actual downtown Dallas, though, so if anyone had their heart set on being in downtown...then this isn't the one. Just looking real quick...it appears to be about $140 per room if there are 2 people per room (so $70 per person).
2. The Fairmont Dallas
Located in downtown. About $130. Expensive food and parking but close to the West End Marketplace so we could eat there instead. I'm not terribly familiar with the hotel -- but online reviews are pretty favorable.
3. Hyatt Regency Dallas
Located in downtown. Expensive parking. Has the Reunion Tower (restaurant/bar at the top). Supposed to have a great view of the Dallas skyline. Not sure about the price -- but probably not cheap.
Personally -- I think the Westin would be great for the shopping and nearby Addison restaurants. I'm also more familiar with that area than downtown, so that's why I might be a tad biased.
