Athleta discount

Hi all. I've been eyeing the lovely clothes at athleta, and decided to place an order for the first time. I looked online and couldn't find any coupon codes, but I did see a recommendation to call customer service for a discount. So that's what I did. I had to place my order with the rep, which took a bit longer, but I ended up getting $15 off. Nice huh?

It wasn't $15 off a single item, but rather my whole order. I didn't know how much of a discount I'd get, or if I'd get one at all. I just called the cs # and asked if I could get a discount on my order. The rep said yes, but only if I ordered with her over the phone (no coupon codes). She totaled up the order before telling me how much the discount would be, so I think it depends on how much you order.

I don't know why they do discounts this way, and I agree that it's weird. But it worked for me so I'm happy!

Will you share how much your order total was before tax? If you don't feel comfortable doing that, I understand. Just curious what the % savings is. I've put together an order from them several times but never was able to get the credit card out to purchase. I'm loving some of their spring dresses this year.

Sure I'll share. The pretax total was about $286, and I got $15 off that. It's funny, I was really just planning to buy some of the Moving Comfort bras, and then I had to look around and see tons of cute stuff, so I kind of went for it. I mean, I could have bought even more, so I showed some restraint! But, they have a nice and easy return policy so I told myself that I'd just send back what I don't like or what doesn't fit. But what if I love it all?! LOL

Anyone know if the Moving Comfort bras are nice? I desperately need some good ones for non-workout use, and they had a few that looked perfect (the Cara and the Iris). But sassybax looked nice too and I was super disappointed in the quality, especially since they aren't cheap. I get so discouraged with bras. I really hope I like these. If I do, I'm planning to empty my bra drawer and get a bunch of these.

I got my order yesterday, and I can't believe it but everything fits perfectly. That never happens when I can try stuff on in a store, much less order it online! Also, it was shipped in a small plastic envelope instead of a hug ridiculous box like everyone else seems to use. I think I love athleta!

Oh, and I'm just THRILLED with the Moving Comfort bras. I think I finally found a bra I will actually buy more of. Amazing.

Amy, aside from the bras, what else did you buy? I was just looking at the website and some of the tops are SO cute! Did you get any tops or pants?
 
Did you guys see that Athleta is now part of the Gap? Maybe there are discounts to be had that way, but in any case..... everything is negotiable -- especially in this economy......

Michele, I did get a bunch of stuff besides the bras. I got the Touring skirt in black and I'm wearing it now. I got two headbands (3 strand and burnout). For pants I got the Trail Utility Knicker and the All that knee length capri. The trail utility is the one I was most unsure because I wear 10s, 12s, and sometimes 14s in pants. The 12s were perfect. I kind of spoiled myself, and I'M KEEPING IT ALL!

I have a few tops that Carolyn got me for Christmas, and those fit great too.
