ASC4--how do you like?

Amy is AWESOME! She really is. I Love her hi lo and kickbox the most though. Although the choreography is harder to pick up than cathe's. Her kickbox surge really is excellent. And I love her hi'lo cardio knockout (but it's hi/lo, not kickbox). They really are quite intense. But she deliberately doesn't break down the moves, so if you don't like that, don't get them.

ASC1 is the least polished, I think. It is an awesome workout... but sometimes I trip on some of the moves, it is very high impact.

However, I love Amy :) I really do. I just wish the post was faster from America to England!! :)

Thanks for the feedback! Her K/B Surge looked good so I'm gonna give it a shot. If I really don't like it I can always return it. :)

Oh you're gonna have so much fun! KB surge you can probably do right away without previewing, altho there are a few tricky moves, but you'll get them after the first pass or so.

DO NOT get frustrated w/the step. I had to preview my first Bento step DVD 6 times before I'd even give it a try, I kid you not. And I followed a similar recommendation that Saundra gave you, except I didn't TRY one combo at a time, I WATCHED one combo at a time (it can be pretty tedious watching a step DVD for an hour). Have patience--I promise you once you learn it you'll rock it!

Have received my Amy DVD but only just, and I have to agree, having seen the clips online, with the poster who said that the set is rather overwhelmingly pink and they do all look too squashed in to the workout space. I wonder why Amy didn't narrow it down to just 3 exercisers, so that there isn't too much visual distraction and we can concentrate on her as modifier and Uchenna behind her doing all the twists and turns and high impact stuff?

Not criticism, just comment.

I am determined to conquer an Amy step workout because I am training my brain, gotta keep firing those neurons so that I don't age too quickly!

Wish me luck,

Clare

Thanks Laura! You previewed the first tep work out of hers that you did SIX times!? Oh boy...I'm in trouble! :p

Well, I never had the chance to place my order yesterday but I'll do it today! I'm excited!:D

I just got ASC4 yesterday - and previewed but based on what I watched I'm very excited. I'm all about the complicated choreography - the harder the better. I don't find it exciting enough if I get it right away or if there is major TIFTING or - if they take soooo much time breaking everything down. (BORING!!) With Amy's step - preview - and watch. Watching really helps. It took me longer than I thought it would to get ASC II but I absolutely LOVE IT now. I got ASC I the 2nd time through - so I would try that one first if you are new to Amy.

You'll be fine. I have 2 left feet so complex choreo takes me a while--not as long now b/c I've gotten used to it, but when I first started w/Amy & Tracey I felt like I was back in school studying for a blue book exam. :D

I am hoping that the tutorial will help me. That's what I am counting on and why I changed up from ASC 1 to ASC 3. Time will tell!

I am actually going to hold off placing my order. I am not ready to tackle ASC yet and want to be able to return it if I find it impossible. I am just now learning Athletic Step and then will move onto Step Moves. Once I have a good grasp of those two then i will order ASC since I will be ready to try it.
