If neither surgeon is truly convinced this was a gall bladder episode, I would not get the surgery yet. Once having had that surgery you will be probably placed on a non-fat diet. Its really hard to make a baby without lipids in your diet. I haven't had that procedure, but my opinion would be to get a third opinion from a gall bladder specialist, not just someone who is a surgeon. Surgeons know how to do one thing, cut. That is not always the best medicine.
