Argh!!! Plyo Scissors!!!!

I had my weekly dose of Interval Max today and every time I get to those darn scissors I want to scream!! Heck, I DO scream! Also those Plyo Jacks just make your quads burn don't they?! I'm always so proud when I finish this tape(and exhausted! ;-)) Just had to vent about those plyos!! Susan
 
I'm with you on both the scissor lunges & plyo jacks. I think they are much worse than the tuck jump things at the end but that could be because I know that those tj things are the last gasp & I'm almost done!

Yep! Those plyo scissors are nasty! Personally, they're the hardest interval for me. But, this is my fav Cathe tape, and I keep coming back for my weekly round with the plyo scissors. Sick, isn't it?
 
Personally, I am starting to wonder if all those plyo's can ever be done. I mean, I am "going out" on about full plyo scissor 5!!! Talk about BURN. Same with second interval I think it is, the plyo's...where Cathe says "Fire in the thigh!" and then she goes "halfway there", OMG, I just want to kill her then. And once you get the BURN it is so hard to even keep modifying, its like that feeling is NEVER going away!!!!
 
I agree. Do you have CTX's Kickbox? Cathe does 32 power scissors on each leg in this video. I recently added it to my rotation once a week and find that the power scissors in IMAX are easier to do now. But NOTHING will make that 10th interval easier. Nothing. Have fun - and feel proud - you did IMAX!
 
I also had my dose of Interval Hell this a.m. Yep, those plyo scissors are the bane of my workout!!!

I'm also adding Kickbox and Interval Max to my workout once a week. Maybe it'll get better. Right now they don't even look like plyo scissors. I just sorta shuffle my legs around.

ROTF!! Naughtoj, I don't remember which interval it is either, but I'm with you on the 'we're halfway there' remark! Seems like forever and then I find out I'm not even close to through. ACK!!! I just can't make it through those or the plyos.

Now, the last interval I can do. Once again, my plyo jacks and tuck jumps don't look like plyo jacks and tuck jumps, but that's what I call them. Anyway, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Killer plyos. Hate 'em. :) I did Interval Max last week and challenged myself to push through all the intervals with no modifications. Those tuck jumps and airborne jacks got me everytime. But this time I did it. YEAH. Until those danged plyo scissors. I pushed my legs until I could go no more. :) I joined in with Hope when she started her modification. Now I have another challenge for myself. I will get all of those plyo scissors done. I will.

Interval #8 of I-Max is my absolute favorite interval in the whole darn workout. Those plyo scissors are just about the most fun a girl could ever have, and I love 'em so much that sometimes I substitute plyo scissors for the hitch-kick interval #9. They just bring a tear to my eye, and I hope one day Cathe makes a Plyo-Scissor-Max workout for us all to enjoy.

Don't stand TOO close behind me with those plyo scissors - especially if I do them the morning after a really intense taco meal! They bring more than a tear to my eye, if ya know what I mean!

YIKES! They make my knees hurt...and my lungs...and my feet...and my ears...and eyebrows...and elbows...whew, I get outta breath just thinkin about 'em. I would say they are the main reason I let myself avoid IMAX, but that honor goes to the airborne jacks.

I hate 'em too....all 3 that I can actually get thru that is!! I dont do IM very often, although I need to. I still have to modify many of the intervals, and I'm still modifying the lunges in Kickbox, but I have knee issues. Nonetheless, thanks for the post, it's getting me motivated (again) to really work hard on adding IM to my weekly rotation. But speaking of killer moves, moving on up to upper body...who else hates Crazy 8's??? Yeah, they're crazy alright!!
