Are you scared to...

No. Not at all. Everyone is shocked when I do tell them because I look at least ten years younger than I am, and truth be told I enjoy hearing that. :) Who wouldn't?

There are far more serious things in this world to be fearful of than a number.

I read your response, but I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying that you know people who put you down for your age or for your weight or for your height? I haven't had an experience like that since junior high school, and if I did I would be stunned. The grown-up people I know either say something nice or say nothing. Of course, kids can be cruel sometimes, but they don't know any better.

What kind of flak do you get for answering questions about your age?? Who do you know who is judging you by your age? Why would anyone judge someone by their age when age is something we have no control over?

I don't mind telling my age (I'm 41), but I have three young kids under the age of six, and I have gotten comments and curious looks
from strangers. I had my twins at 38 and I guess many women got
started much earlier than I did! Anyway, it kind of bugs me when
people assume that most children were born to moms in their twenties!! Aren't people used to the idea that many women are becoming mothers in their late thirties--even forties?!

I will be 36 on November 3rd. I never minded telling people my age. The only problem I've ever had is w/in myself knowing that I wasted so many years not taking care of myself physically. But, now that I am taking care of myself I feel peppier (is that even a word?) than I have in a long time.:)
