After I went grocery shopping with my DDs, loading up on lots of fruits and veggies, my oldest says to me, "You know, Mom, it seems like it's cheaper to eat bad food than good food!" She's right! All those fruits and veggies are expensive! And good, non-processed food seems to cost more than all the super-processed stuff lining the shelves in ever-increasing numbers.
Are we as a society heading for a soylent green (remember that old movie?) type of food, where the majority of people can only afford the processed **it, and the wealthy get to eat the good stuff? It seems like we are. x(
