Are Cathe's Workouts on FitTV the same length as the videos?

I'm just wondering if the workouts on FitTV are the same length as the regular workouts on DVD/VHS? I know that FitTV has to have their commercials so the w/o is probably interrupted. Does anyone here do Cathe's workouts off FitTV?

No, you are not seeing the entire workout. Many of Cathe's workouts are a full 60 minutes and some are a little over 60 (some are a little under also). Since I own all of Cathes I can't tell you how much is actually cut out, but I believe it's quite a bit. There are others here who started with Cathe on FitTV and can tell you exactly how much you're missing!

Hope that helps! :) :)

Thank you Jo. I would like to try some of the workouts that are listed to play for the next two weeks. I'll probably watch more of them than actually exercise along since it is aired three times a day. I can then decide which I would purchase. I'd hate to buy something that I don't end up using.

RE: Are Cathe's Workouts on FitTV the same length as th...

Hi WannaBeStrong-

I started with Cathe on FitTV actually! It's a GREAT way to decide which DVDs you'll want to start with (but eventually you will probably want them ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL)}(

There are significant portions cut out of most of the workouts (you'll be able to tell on some of them, because it cuts to a commercial in the middle of a step combo or something). For example, on Boot Camp, 2 intervals are completely cut (the dreaded terminator climbers... which I actually really love... call me crazy... and the successive jump kicks). There are a few workouts in which the warmups are completely cut - so be sure to get warmed up properly first before doing those (like Pyramid Lower Body, for example).

Having said all that, I think it's a great way to get introduced. Once you order those DVDs, you won't have the slight recovery time it takes to FF through the commercials!}(

Keep an eye out, though - all Cathe videos are not called "Cardio Blast". Boot Camp is not under Cardio Blast, it's just called "Boot Camp" (creative, huh?) and Power Hour is also scheduled with its "real" name. Get that TiVo set and get after it! You'll have so much fun!

Hope this helps!:)

I did last year, and even though I only got 2/3 of the workout, it really helped me to decide what dvds I wanted to order. It helped me realize I needed the whole Intensity Series. Personally I hate workout interruptions, commercials especially. But FitTv is a great intro to Cathe. Keep in mind, you also get great chaptering and premixes with her dvds and bonus workouts. It's worth the purchase.

I agree with breckgirl. I have just started doing Cathe workouts a month ago and have tape a LOT of them from fittv. I do them while taping so I can stop at the commercials, and they are only 45 minutes. Lots of them have no ab work, which I know must be on the "real" dvd workouts. I am doing them for awhile to determine which set I want to spend my hard earned money on. I'm really loving them! She's on weekdays at 9am, 11am, and 4pm. Unfortunately only once on Sat. and Sun. But I'm enjoying doing the different ones and picking out which ones I'll buy!

I see results with doing Cathe on FitTV. I do a lot of them, not cardio though, except for Kick Punch and Crunch. During commercials I do more exercises on the stability ball. My Tivo is in my bedroom so I don't have a lot of room to do step workouts in there. I need to move it out to the living room.:)

I ordered the Hardcore series and I would like to order the body blast series so I don't have to watch commercials.

I keep hearing about chaptering and the premixes (a hot topic when Cathe first announced the Hardcore series). Could you tell me a little bit more about these options? I want to be completely educated on the subject and ready for when my Hardcore series arrives! Currently I only do Cathe on FitTV.
