Aqua spinning!

Hi team

Thanks for sharing your bug and spider stories - no snakes in Sydney thank goodness but I know in wider Australia, there a big problem. Im sure because Australia is so far removed from fitness trends that when we do go with the flow, your've already decided that "idea" was pretty stupid......and moved on. The latest graze here....spinning classes in water. Any one tried it or is it truely old news now?:)

OK Claridge - where do you do aqua spinning - I have never heard of it!

And do you do Cathe tapes as well :)

Cheers

Hi

Aqua spinnings done in deep water at the Gyms that have pools -- are you familiar with "Fitness First" where you are? The bikes are just like the ones you would use on land in a spinning class. Im surposing the bikes would have to be weighted down some how, and stating the ovious, rust proof. The mind does boggle at this concept but it is a Les Mills idea and it came from the States. Australia loves to follow trends so Im sure this concept will be around long enough to make Mr Mills even richer for a while until the next thing.:)

We don't have it at Fitness First up here. Are you a Les Mills instructor. As well as love Cathe :) I teach Step, Pump and Combat.

Cheers

I am an Instructor but not Les Mills trained. I teach at a Club that encourages free style thinking but we still do our own version of Step, Pump and Combat. I love participating at other gyms though - not only to pick up new ideas, what to do in class and what not to do in class, but it is nice once in a while to "be" taught. Trouble with that though is to stop thinking like a instructor for a hour and actually lead right with the right - can get a bit tricky. The only chance I get to hear about "Cathe" is through this forum. I could order on line like some do but Im thinking that may be rather expensive from Australia. However, if there are Aussie neighbours out there that know where I can buy Cathe here, please let me know. Im getting a little jealous that the rest of you fine people outside Australia are having such a great time with this lady!

Hi Claridge.

I actually "met" Cathe when I was pregnant, decided to take a punt and preorder the Intensity Series and boy, I wasn't disappointed! Since then I have always preordered - there is only one flat postage fee of US24.00 - expensive, but worth it!

Cheers,
Liz N

So - take a punt on Cathe, you will love her (ebay is a great place to look as well)
