Hi Ladies,

I did a 6.5 mile run last night and PS CST. Tonight will be SJP, I think.

Have a great day and workout!

Beverly

It's a beautiful day here in Florida!

This morning I did SJP with some additional Hi/Lo. Tomorrow is active rest so I'll do abs.

Morning ;o)

Beverly, nice run ;o)

I had a great workout last night, for my cardio I did Gin Miller Power workout love this workout. I did cardio first and then UB, which was really hard for me. I think from now on when I do two workouts back to back. I’m going to make strength training first and then cardio. I was wiped out after I finished.

Once we start the freestyle rotation, I’m not going to do two workouts on the same day; maybe now and then. I’m going back to alternating my workouts.

Tonight, is PLB & Abs haven’t done this one in awhile. Have a great day all.

HI!

I was reading about the freestyle training and rcook mentioned that you do the weight training first and then the cardio. I always do cardio first and then weight training. I wonder if this will make much of a difference. How do you guys do this when you do cardio and weight training in the same day?

Thanks,

Beverly

Morning everybody!

I did PLB and a Firm 5 day ab segment this morning and plan on running 2 miles on the treadmill at noon. If I am doing both cardio and weights on the same day, I always do the weights first and then the cardio. Whether it makes a difference, I don't know.

Last night, I looked back on my notes from when I first started the Body for Life program a couple of years ago. I was really faithful to the diet portion, so I am thinking that is why I lost more inches than compared to this rotation. Even though my workouts are a lot harder now (thanks to Cathe and the fact that I double up on workouts 3 days a week), I haven't lost more than a pound.

Back then, when I was doing the FIRM and Tae Bo exclusively and only 1 workout per day my measurements were decreasing every week.

For the most part I eat cleanly, with the exception of a cookie or cup of hot chocolate now and then. What do you ladies think is the stopgap - diet, old age? Sorry for the rant, as you can tell, I am feeling very, very frustrated.

Hope everyone is hanging in there.

I am not hanging in there. I feel near death. I can't move, and I am not going to excercise again today. eationg has not been all that great either. I hope to feel better tomorrow.

I feel you on this one Shopgirl, My mother warned me of this. It’s very HARD to lose weight once you get older, I’m 47 and I noticed how hard it was getting to lose a lb after 35. I’m in my fifth week of this rotation and have only lost 2 lbs. I know I should be further than this but………wait…..I may have gained that back after the weekend I had, SUGAR three days in a roll, not nice. Sugar is the enemy here for me. I'm going to just keep plugging away and tighten up on my diet.

I know its very frustrating. However, if we throw in the towel it could be even more frustrating. We’re going to win, right!!

As far as ST or cardio, I think it depends on the individual. For me, doing cardio first wipes me out. So, I'm going to try UB first and then see if I have enough energy to do cardio.

I read the Freestyle information someone posted, if girlie can do it at 47 then I can too. This week I’ve given up breads and cut back on dairy. So far I’m not missing my wheat bread. But, at this point gotta change things up a bit to see what’s going to work for me.

You are right Teddygirl - we all have to stick this out.

Everytime I complain about weight-gain to my sisters (ages 53, 50) they just laugh and tell me "tough luck, that's what getting old is all about". Sheesh.

I am a sweets-loving, Italian girl, for me to give up sugar, bread and pasta would be akin to giving up oxygen. ;-)

Hi Ladies,

Yes, we need to hang in there. Sometimes it seems like so much work to just stay fit let alone try and improve our fitness or physique. I think I am better at maintaining!!!!! :)

Lori, Do you have the flu? I hope you are feeling better soon and pumping and jumping with Cathe!!!!

Teddygirl and Shopgirl, I don't know if I will ever have a really clean diet, but I try like heck... }(

Have a great day ladies.. I have decided to do SJP step, KPC cardio conditioning and TS #5 tonight. That may change before I get home though. But that sounds like fun..

Confession. I was all set to hit the treadmill at noon, but then my brother-in-law stopped by my office and we shot the bull for a while. By the time he left, it was too late to run, so I ate instead. Actually, not only did I eat, I cheated - had a baked potato with salsa, and half of a blueberry-cranberry muffin WITH BUTTER.

arrrrrgh x(

I could just kick myself.

Well, tomorrow is KPC and then I will run at lunch to make up for it.

And the hips just keep gettin' bigger ....
