Good morning ladies...

Today is double pyramid Hiit for me and ab circuit weights and plates abs (I think)..NOt sure when I will get to it. Today the verizon person will be here to switch our internet and tv. Not sure when he will get here or how long it will take...So, I may not be around much today..

Talk to you all later...

Good Morning!

Hey Kathy: I hate having to wait for house calls like that. You just never know when/if you're going to get your workout in. That's a big switch , huh? What made you change, is it a lot cheaper? ...

Hottie
: Saw your cupcake post last night! Poor Evee, did she get into something she wasn't supposed to? And poor you and Joe for having to stay up with a sick baby!!. AS is a great choice! Curry lamb and ice cream doesn't sound THAT bad!.. Maybe I will look at Cathe's STS/ STS Cardio rotation next month. not sure. It's between THAT and Fitness Freaks 2010 Summer Rotation and seeing what Cathe comes up with for May! Lots of choices!

Today is going to be a GORGEOUS spring day!! I'm taking the boys to an early movie (Wimpy Kid, that's their choice)and then they'll have the afternoon to play. Maybe we'll go to the park. But my 10 yr old, Alex, has been telling me the park is "boring" lately and doesn't want to go. Little poop!

I'm going to head down shortly and do HiiT 30/30 and then pick some ab workout to follow! Short and sweet!

Good morning! Feels like Monday to me.... back to school for the kids, finally. It was a great break, and we could all go on and on like this forever, but they probably need a little more structure!

I missed Hottie's post -- I'll have to go check for it.

Kathy, by now you probably have the internet work done, but I wouldn't think it would take all that long.

Chris, I'm sure my kids will want to go to the wimpy kid movie, too, but.... you should see the dragon one at some point -- it's a winner, definitely. Those dragons are cute! :D

I did STS 2 -- back and triceps -- today. My least favorite parts to work..... not much more to say, I guess. And, I'd better get on with my day. Waves to Joanne!! How long do those staples have to stay in Ian's head?

Done! Haven't done a HiiT in a while. I remember 30/30 starting to feel a bit easier. Not today! Wow! I added on MMA: KB abs, which I think are the coolest ab exercises.

Beth: I really wanted to see the Dragon movie. Zach is "too old" for it, and doesn't want to see a cartoon, even though I tell him it's not a kiddie one. He's 14, too cool for it, ya know? ... Back isn't my favorite to work either. Though I do like triceps!

Better get ready for the movies! BBL!

Hi ladies!!

Oh, Hottie, poor Evee! And you guys for staying up all night with her. Is she OK now? Eat something funky?

Beth, I hear ya on the Back and Triceps. I did Disc 1 today which was biceps, shoulders and chest. I hate working back and triceps just hurt. I looked at the time for the next one and 56 minutes for two muscle groups? I did like today's workout though. I may try to shorten the next one a bit. I also did TJ fat blaster for some cardio afterwards. Must be quiet with no kids today! Ian gets his staples out next Monday. They really aren't bothering him at all. The doctor called yesterday and said he needs to come in for a tetanus shot. At the ER I told them he was all caught up with his vaccinations cause he just had his 6th grade physical and shots a year ago. They said he would be fine then. I told that to the doctor and they called me back and said oh yeah, we were only looking at the first page of his vaccination records - it's on the second page. I really wasn't looking forward to taking him out of school for a shot!

Chris, I want to see the Wimpy Kid movie!! ;) Looks like fun. We're always running around so much we don't seem to have time to squeeze in a movie. I wanted to take my mom to a movie last weekend to get her out of the house, but with the kids schedules there wasn't a big enough time block. They've totally ripped apart our park. Took all the playground equipment out and now there's just huge piles of dirt. They're supposed to be putting in some new equipment, but it seems to be taking forever. It's hard to find a movie all my kids will like, too. No way is Jameson going to want to see something Caitlyn wants to see!

Kathy, I hate waiting for service people too! Hope the installation goes smoothly and quickly!

BBL...

Joanne

Ugh, I'm aggravated with Joe. We woke up and my body was sore and exhausted and I told him I was so tired that maybe I should try to work out at the school gym instead of at home with Cathe. If that was the case we could go in together. For whatever reason, this meant to Joe -- oh hey, I don't have to rush to get on the bus...so he dilly dallied and we got stuck in more traffic than I had wanted to. It doesn't matter to him since he's on a when I come in determines when I leave kinda clock but it does affect me in that I can get on machines earlier in the day than later...which is exactly what happened (someone beat me to it). Not to mention, I wanted HIM to get in earlier so we could leave earlier so I could buy a dress for his sister's wedding. Blech. husbands.

Anyway, I hope to get an elliptical run in at the school gym. I'm trying to set up some stuff right now so I can leave for the gym and come back to tutor probably the least up to date of my ochem students but the most fun to teach. I also have to teach the HS kid tonight and he clamored for a session tomorrow (after we made such a big deal about how we're leaving so let's do it on the weekend when we're not stressed...). I shouldn't complain too much because it's $$$ but I hate it when things get crammed in.

One good thing about this trip is that i hope it will get me back in the habit of waking up early with energy so I can get my workouts in earlier.

Kathy and Chris -- I shoulda done the HiiT workout and then I would have gotten something in for sure!

Beth -- we're thinking about seeing the dragon movie when we're in florida. I'd rather see that movie over kick ass which Joe keeps on talking about (I don't mind watching the movie, I just don't want to go to a theater and pay to watch it there when I know it'll show up on my netflix queue soon). All my triceps are gone...

Joanne -- yeah, I think it was this natural balance lamb roll thing that made her go grumbly. I think for the wettish food I'm going to stick to stuff I make myself because those seem to never give her problems. Speaking of which, I have to take some left over BBQ meat and make food for evee with the bones I've been keeping. don't you love it when doctors only peripherally look at something...makes you wonder what else they miss....

Ok, back to science now that I made sure I posted. Priorities!

Joanne.... hilarious! I looked at the time for disc 2 and thought the same thing! 56 minutes for two body parts -- that's too long! I'll cut out some of it. But, I must admit, the time went by fairly quickly and I did not end up cutting out anything! Funny though, I find myself really itching to do tonique!! Crazy, right?!

What a bummer about the park.... hopefully they will get it done before school is out, eh?! I'm sure you do have trouble finding a movie all the kids will like! I wonder if it'll be any easier in a couple of years.... maybe not!

Hottie, sorry your day started out discombobulated and continued that way (from the sounds of it!). I've known Larry's a talker... how could I not? But this broke all records, I must say. And Chris, I did try to give him the look, multiple times!, but he was in true ADD mode where he was really focused on talking to them.

Just taking a quick break while I eat lunch.... back to catching up!!!

Hey Girls...

We're back from the movie. Zach's out delivering papers. And then Greg takes him to bb practice tonight. Just supper for me , Jake and Alex.

We did go to see Wimpy Kid. The boys liked it (they read the book). I wasn't so thrilled with it. I just felt sorry for the kids. Kind of like the movie Meet The Fockers, where he constantly screwed up and I just felt so sorry for him, instead of funny, after a while. that's how i felt about wimpy kid. Sorry for him! CUTE little kid actors though. I liked the characters. Gross boy site gags weren't my favorite either (boogers and moldy cheese)

Hottie: Zach kept saying he wanted to go see Kick Ass!!! (though I wouldn't let him since it's rated R). But I think the plan would be be me and you to see the dragon movie, and Zach and Joe can go see Kick Ass!. Boys are all alike! :p . LOL @ forgetting the towel and waiting until the end to ride home stinky! Hey , a good pay back for Joe, right?

Joanne: We only got to see the movie because it's vacation. Otherwise, we're the same way, never time. Zach has to be home for papers for 3p-5p, and then Greg leaves for work for 8p, so there is never time here. But I'm glad, because it costs a small fortune to go to the movies, doesn't it? Geesh, between food and admission it cost me over $50. which I guess isn't bad for 4 of us, but still.

Beth: That's right, I think I remember you saying how Larry keeps you awake talking at night! Too funny! ...

Good STS workouts for you both today!. Wonder if you'll get some good DOMS from it? Since it's been awhile since STS workouts!

Chris, some of Ian's friends have seen Kick Ass. I'm not even sure what it is, but if it's R, we won't be seeing it! I want to see Date Night - looks funny. I know, movies are so expensive. The popcorn is outrageous, but ya gotta have it! ;)

Hottie, yeah, good payback for Joe! Get nice and stinky! ;) Wow, you're a good dog-mommy! Making food for Evee. Tully gets Costco dry food and then some leftover meat if we have any with dinner. She gets upset if there's no extras in there!

Beth, are you doing Tonique tomorrow? I think I am. Probably 2.1. I can't remember what that one is like. Oh, I forgot - when I did Tonique yesterday I used my own music. It was great. I shuffled all my Black Eyed Peas songs on my ipod. Big difference! In a couple years, I'll just send Jameson and Ian off to the movies on their own! I can't believe they are getting so old! I was thinking this morning - OMG - Jameson will be going away to college in just four years. Possibly to high school in one. Yikes. Ian will follow shorly after that. I was thinking about it cause DH was saying he's going to switch to days when Caitlyn goes to middle school. That's in four years. Jameson will be going to college then and the other two will be in high school. I just want to freeze time sometimes! :)

I'm kind of feeling some DOMS already from STS.

Back to work...

Joanne

Joanne, I can't decide about doing tonique tomorrow.... I really like the idea of trying to work in yoga every third day, but I'm itching to do tonique, like I said. I think I'll see how I feel when I get up in the morning. Are you going to do it? Funny how sort of addicting it is! I still haven't tried it with my own music. We don't really have a good music solution in that room, so it means I'd have to wear my ipod and the cords always get in the way (earbud wires I mean), plus I mostly have podcasts on my ipod at this point!!

Too bad about the movie, Chris (too much of a "good" thing). At least you got matinee prices, right? Funny, when we went to see Dragon, I said "one adult, two kids" and she told me $14. I didn't think about it being an odd amount. Well, then the lady behind me has two girls, and she tells that woman it's going to be $21 (I guess, though there was some oddness there, too). Anyway, the lady says "why is it more for me?" and by then I realize they've made a mistake with me, but I yank the woman's chain and say "well, you know, girls ARE more expensive." :D

I guess inspired by Kathy, I'm making a mini-Thanksgiving dinner today. I bought turkey breast slices and I'm going to top with cranberry sauce and stuffing and bake it (found the recipe in a book -- I didn't make it up). Can't wait to eat dinner! I'm trying another new salad recipe that looks good, too. If it is, I'll post to your fb page, Chris.

oh its just one of those days! I go to where I'm meeting my student in pouring rain without a rainjacket or an umbrella! And then after it when I thought I was going to go to the gym, my stomach was grumbling so much that I decided to *eat* calories instead of *burning* them. Togos..tuna..mmm...and! I want to eat more...maybe when I get home I can work out before the second tutoring kid. Screw a new dress for the wedding. Maybe I'll just buy it in Florida. So no stinky revenge for Joe.

Beth -- ohhhh, I know what you're talking about too. Joe gets that way. I think they're immune to "the look" when they're in that mode.

Chris -- yeah, that's what I thought the movie would be like. i'm not really interested in that one. I'm so bad about movies. The cheapest ticket you can get around here is $12. If I'm going to pay that much, I'll pay $15 for the nice leather reclining seats with the super awesome screen and sound. And I'm phenomenal about sneaking food in. Though I imagine my ability to act single and flirt with the attendants will go away soon...

Joanne -- oh, it's because I don't have a kid yet! I take all the bones from the meet we eat and I take leftovers and some fresh veggies and rice and just stick it in a pressure cooker (man, I love that thing). then I freeze it into small packs and I thaw and warm up to mix with her food ... usually when she's been good. ooh, I just went to costco on sunday and I saw that they had those vitties vaults where you can keep the dog food fresh for a 60lb for $24! I picked one up -- those normally cost over $50. Since I mix evee's dry food (with two companies that probably both should be out of my budget), it makes it easier.

Oh, I just want to sleep and eat...but in reverse order!

Joanne: Zach was watching South Park yesterday and I was uncomfortable with THAT. That show is really vulgar (I personally think it's funny, but I'm old enough! LOL!). No R movies here. just ain't happening. Date Night looks very good! ... We're actually looking forward to Avatar coming out on DVD on Thursday! We're going to have a big movie night with the boys! LOVED that movie!!!!

Beth: It was the matinee, so I paid $6 each. Not horrible, really. But then I had to get them popcorn/drinks. I did bring one bottled water (it's all I had), but I usually bring more for snacks and drinks, and let them get a small popcorn each. I just have one of the boys carry a backpack with the goodies in it! No one has ever stopped us. ....what's with this mini-Thanksgving dinner? It sounds so good! Where's the recipe? I want that one! LOL!. Would love the salad one too! Post it when you can!

Hottie
: Sorry about getting drenched and not by working out! Ick! Good luck with your students tonight... hope it goes easy and fast! It's very cool you tutor! ...... I want to come back as your dog in my next life! ;)

My boys are all excited because they get to play outside until dark, instead of me making them come in for homework! It is kind of nice for me too!

Hottie, I got caught in the rain today, too! It poured this morning, but by the time I went to pick up the kids, the sun was out. Well, I had taken off my coat because I was suddenly boiling and then I got out of my car early to go in and pick up something. In the time I went back out to wait for them it started raining, and then even hailing!! And my coat was in the car. I stood under a tree and sort of kept dry. Good thing we don't have lightening here (often). It's supposed to rain again tomorrow, then be really nice this weekend, and then next week four more days of rain! Crazy!

Dinner was sort of a bust, Chris -- well, the salad was great and I posted a link to the recipe. Larry didn't like it. The turkey thing was not so great because the turkey got dried out. Basically it was sliced turkey breast layered with cranberry sauce and stuffing. Baked with foil on it for something less than 40 min. (that's what I did) and then uncovered for about five minutes on broil to crisp up the stuffing. It has potential, but it just didn't work out all that well tonight.

My kids would love to be playing outside and not worrying about homework! I have screamed at them three times and taken away dessert!

Oh chris, if you were my poochie I would so spoil you! But not Beth's kid -- no spoil for you! who am I kidding? i'd sneak them video games...

well I did a mish mosh of sculpting work. I accidentally hit "next" during p57 which took it to the end of the workout. I had to hold the search button down and then hit next again and gave up. I did some of the ellen barret super crunch slim down on the mat. That was fun though I wonder if I really strained my back. Surely, hours on a plane will fix that! bleh...

well at least I'm out of wet jeans. my student is late...but well see. Joe and I are going to split the time with him because I just am having a bit of an issue with his scheduling stuff. Also, I rummaged through my boxes of dresses and found two dresses that might fit my SIL's spring time pastel wedding...I'm so used to wearing formal stuff that her color restrictions are hard! But if worse come to worse, I'll just find a shopping mall there...
