Anyone just fed up with TV shows?

>I'm so bummed about Warrick ;( . Maybe he'll survive. Dare we
>hope!?

Not a chance. The actor's contract wasn't renewed, after he caused a lot of problems due to drug and alcohol abuse (after the last show was taped, he was arrested for possesion of several types of drugs, including cocaine).

Thank goodness for cable! I am TOTALLY ADDICTED to the Tudors. Not really historically accurate but so much fun! (and might I just say I cannot wait until that skank ho Ann Bolyn gets what's coming to her! }( )

Love Bill Maher. Can't wait til he's back.

Love Dirt. But I'm confused about their "season." How can you call 4 episodes a "season?" Anyway it's dark, funny & riveting.

I also really enjoy Top Chef. That show makes my mouth water, & I find it very entertaining.

And I love the Office, but I missed last night's epi (& did my best to skim over posts about it) b/c I had to work & for some reason my DVR screwed up the series recording.

Other than that, there's not much else that interests me.

I watch

Medium
Criminal Minds
CSI New York
The Office
Moonlight
Ghost Whisperer
Any of the Law and Orders

Did anyone catch My Name is Earl last night? I don't really watch this but it was on before The Office. I loved the part when Randy said he watched CSI Miami and said that it stood for Criminal Stuff in Miami.

Thanks for the info, Michele. I hardly saw his condition as "ambiguous" though. That first bullet looked fatal enough, and then the undersheriff shot him again at close range just to be sure he was dead. :(

I love the Closer too! You and I agree 100% on clothes, shoes and TV shows. And 0% on food. ;) :7

Hey, next time you may want to give a spoiler alert for those of us who haven't watched our tvo'd shows yet...:-( Watching The Office and Lost tonight....
Angela

did u watch the smurfs? i bought the series for my my niece but i think i will also get that for myself!

>Angela - I am so sorry. I didn't even think about it.

Well, honestly, I usually stay away from ALL TV threads until I've watched my shows. Like someone said, it's only TV...LOL! I still look forward to my tivo watching tonight....no commercials...woo hoo!
Angela:)

Another Office fan here! I partially agree with some of the above comments about the show...I love that Pam and Jim finally got together after all those years of tension! However, it seems like they are really speeding up the relationship on the show, I keep thinking, "It's too soon for them to be engaged!". So I was actually happy watching last night's show and glad to see the drama continue.....I also loved the Kevin storyline (so funny, I just smiled the whole time he was on!) and think the whole Dwight/Angela/Andy love triangle is histerical! I still think that show is brillant, even though this season wasn't as good as past ones.

Sorry to get off track, I love the show! :) But besides "The Office" the only other show I watch is "American Idol" and that is because I am a HUGE David Cook fan (who is also brillant ). I don't watch anything else, I wish they would come up with more shows like "Everybody Loves Raymond" or "Seinfeld". But alas, just crummy reality shows...

I love certain shows. And I am not afraid to say it. My favorites include...oh, and I always multi-task when watching, I spend time during commercials reading, folding laundry...so I actually get other things done.

1. Top Chef-although I am weary of the "drama" in this season, and do not really "like" any of the competitors. Watch it for Chef Tom alone.:p

2. Project Runway. Love it. Fabulous. Fierce. Ok, I will stop now, I sound like a dork. Great show though, love watching such talented people (like the chefs in TC as well) create things out of the blue, its so inspiring, I am an self taught artist so these shows appeal to the "arteest" in me.

3. American Idol. This is the only season I have watched, I surprised myself by really getting "into it". I happen to really like that Cook kid, whats his name?Duane?

4. Anything on the Foodnetwork! Ace of Cakes is a new fave when I happen to catch it. I am in love with frosting, and of course the artistry that is put into each creation.:9

5. Red Eye-Fox news has this silly arse show that is on way too late, but when I am in the mood I watch it.

6. Girls Next Door. I watch this with a mixture of horror and fascination. Do not judge.

Thats it really. We have a TV in practically every room, all turned on to Fox News...all day long. I am used to it now, but it was so weird getting used to when I first met him.. my DH loves to hear the news constantly. He is a marketing guy, so thats just the way that we roll I guess.

>Seems like the only one that never lets me down is re-runs of
>"Everybody Loves Raymond"!:7 I don't watch TV as much as I
>used too, but when I do seems like I mostly watch the sitcoms!
> Oh yeh and "I Love Lucy"! Good comedy - great laughs!:7

Tina, that dysfunctional family on Raymond gave me the heeby-jeebies. The actors were great, but they played their parts almost too well. The parents were like my worst nightmare. Good acting and good writing, but horrifying.

Another "Office" fan here. IMHO the show has lost its wingnut sense of humor recently, although the story lines have kept my interest. Loved, loved, loved the trip Ryan took!!!

This season of "Law & Order" (the Mothership original series) is atrocious. Poor Sam Waterston. Wasted amidst all those talentless mannequins.

Have never once watched one episode of a "reality" TV show.

The only shows I watch at all these days are reruns of "The Family Guy" and "Frasier".

A-Jock

yea it's the same thing with CSI Miami. They lost a character as well. The M.E Alexx Woods played by Khandi Alexander left the show due to a contract dispute.
I don't understand these actors. They're getting paid millions of dollars per show, yet they always want more money. Goodness! You can give me 1000 a week and i'd be happy! :7
There are certain shows that i just have to watch. I tivo them every week. They are:
1) CSI Miami
2) One Tree Hill (I'm sorry, but i love it!)
3) America's Next Top Model
4) 24 (Jack Bauer!!!)
5) Supernatural &
6) Smallville
Although the last two shows i named season finales SUCKED big time, i wouldn't miss the season premiere for the world. LOL!

3 cheers for Tivo: HIP HIP HORRAY!!!
HIP HIP HORRAY!!! HIP HIP HORRAY!!!
what would life be without Tivo? ;)

We only watch "The Soup" on E! and the local news. I've been telling DH forever that we should get rid of cable!

I love me some T.V. Especially reality shows. I can't get enough of them. I'm addicted.

If it's not Law And Order SVU, or Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, count me out for the most part.

I am still bummed about the cancellation of American Dreams, I loved that show, and being born and raised in the Philly-Jersey Shore area, the show brought back great memories.

I'll watch some baseball, never a full 9 inning game, though, actually fell asleep during last years' playoffs.

Now, when NFL season starts, that's another story!

I agree: a through-and-through shot through the jugular vein (which is what it looked like) seems pretty fatal to me on its own.

This is one time, IMO, where Wikipedia is off the mark (they must not read TV Guide. That's where I got the info about the contract not being renewed because of problems on the set, it wasn't really a 'contract dispute' as in him asking for more money, and them not wanting to give it).
