Anyone having trouble with iTunes?

I got a new ipod last week and have successfully downloaded many other podcasts, but no matter what I try I can not successfully download the Cathe podcasts. I am looking forward to the glitch being fixed and being able to play these podcasts on my favorite new toy.

iTunes Test for Solution

Hello to everyone trying to use iTunes to view Cathe's podcasts. We have been working on the problems you (and we) have been having and it has come down to our existing server not understanding the m4v file format correctly.

We have posted a temporary episode on iTunes (Episode 6 Test) that is being hosted on a new and faster server which we'd like you to try playing by double clicking (not downloading) and then download and try playing. We have had success here with both methods and now would like you to test it and see if it has solved the problems. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated to know if we have been successful.

iTunes Issues Fixed

Just to update everyone, we have resolved (yes...finally!) the iTunes issues. All of the old episodes have been moved to our new server and are working fine. So, spread the word, and enjoy! Thank you all for your feedback and being patient while we suffered through our "growing pains" with this.

Test episode 6 & episode 7 downloaded & played just fine! I'm going to re-download the previous episodes. Thanks for fixing!
 
I did have a small issue with transferring the video to my ipod...it said it wasn't in the right format. So I right-clicked it and chose "convert for ipod and iphone" and it worked after that. But it moved it out of "podcasts" and into "movies".

Not a big deal, but I did want to mention it in case someone else has the same issue.
 
Thanks for fixing this. I love being able to view these on the itunes and the ipod! I also had to do the convert to ipod option because it would not automatically transfer to my ipod. I couldn't find it but I looked where you just said jodijodi and it was there - thanks :D I would have never thought to look there :D
 
We have made slight adjustments to how the iTunes podcasts are encoded and have uploaded a "Test" version of the last episode. For those that are having problems with iTunes having to convert the podcast before it can be copied to their iPods, could you give the "CatheTV iPod Test" episode a try?

We have been encoding them all along for iPod/iPhone, but this time we made slight changes to the encoding method so that iTunes doesn't think it has to re-encode it each time. As always, any feedback you can provide would be greatly appreciated...and hopefully end with a podcast that is optimized for everyone's usages!

The test episode worked great. It went straight to podcasts without needing to be converted. Episode 8 and 9 also came right through to the podcast folder. Thanks for continuing to work on this!

Podcast Episodes 1, 8, and 9 are all working for me on the iPhone, but not the others. Thanks for all of your hard work SNM, Curt, & whomever else is taking care of this! :)

Oh, and Cathe.... a 9.0 pace on the TM?!! :eek: Oh my.... STS Cardio is gonna kick some major butt!!
 
Again, thanks for your feedback on the iPod/iPhone issue. I think we may finally have all the iTunes iSsues iRoned out! Please let us know if anything new crops up; for now, we will continue to encode the files in the same way that Test Episode 9 and Episode 10 have been done. Happy podcasting!
