Anyone have experience with anemia?

Just wondering if anyone has ever been diagnosed with anemia or knows someone who was. I have been extremely tired, queasy, cold, and dizzy. I've had to skip workouts because of the nausea and last week I felt like passing out after two workouts. I am just not feeling myself at all, and my husband thinks I may be anemic. I have no problem with eating - despite the queasiness -so I'm getting nourished. I don't know, I could also be dehydrated. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow, but I thought I'd do a "shout-out" and see if anyone else has had these symptoms or ever been found to be anemic. Again, I'm getting checked out tomorrow.
thanks!
Caroline

Two words - BE CAREFUL!!! I have struggled with anemia all my life. I eat well, so there is no logical reason that I should be anemic. But, I am. I have learned to live with it. However, it can be really dangerous. I once stood up too fast and started to black out. Now that happens to me all the time, so I just kind of leaned over to put my head a bit lower. I passed out, and since I was already leaning over, I fell flat on my face on the hardwood floor. I ended up with a broken nose, a mild concussion, and huge gashes all over my face. I feel lucky that I didn't fall somewhere where I could have REALLY hurt myself!!! Get checked out!!

I was anemic while I was pregnant (17 years ago) & have had some low iron levels when I have gone to dive blood but lately my docs tell me I'm good.

You're doing the right thing by going to the doctor. But this time of year, he might find it's nothing more than an inner ear infection. Yes, you can have them without having any pain or symptons. That would make you tired, dizzy & queasy & even cold if you are running even the slightest bit of a temperature.

Good luck at the doc & let us know how it goes.

I'm ready to take the next step! http://www.smilies-world.de/Smilies/Smilies_klein_1/a_smil09.gif
