Anyone going out for Halloween?

My DH LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVES Halloween but I would just rather stay home. Yesterday he brought home a invite to a Halloween party, which was just up his alley!
Now we don't know what to be. He wants to be Joe Dirt. Shouldn't be that hard. It would be cool to get him a wagon, with a huge rock in it and a few fries on top. But I would like to dress up as the Bounty Hunters! LOL That would be pretty funny to!! Id need some pretty big boobies though!;)

Lori, My DH and I are the opposite. I would love to go out to a party and dressed up for Halloween but he's not terribly into it.

When we lived in Houston we had friends who threw a regular Halloween shindig every year, usually with a theme (though a couple times we weren't aware of the theme--like they had a superhero theme and we came as a firefighter and a french maid). I think our best year was when we went as Madonna and Billy Idol. Last year after Halloween I bought a Marily Monroe dress on discount but I'm not sure if I'll wear it this year. It's practically see-through and hard to wear a bra with it. I'm a bit too modest for that. Still trying to decide if I'll dress up since we don't have any parties to go to here.

Lori, what *would* you use for boobs? A couple bushels of apples? :p I can totally see your DH stylin' Dog's redneck hair.

DD and I are dressing up as vampiresses... princess vampiresses actually - her idea, of course! We are going to go down one of the main drags in a town close to us and then we are going to hang out at the fire station afterwards. They let the kids get in and play around the fire trucks so DSs are soooooo thrilled! No parties, though. We are so uncool.

My girlfriend across the street has an adults only Halloween party the night of Halloween. No costumes, just partying! We just walk home!

Joe Dirt is the title name of a character by David Spade. It's a ridiculously hysterical movie from the 90's. He plays a white-trash guy with the most awful mullet!!

OK, that sounds vaguely familiar now. He probably looks like dudes I knew growing up out in the boondocks of rural Texas.

Oh how fun!! My DH is not the partying type-I am not the most social butterfly either, but Halloween is one of my all time faves! I like to dress up-and dress my dog up too!:)

I was batgirl two years ago-complete with the skintight vinyl catsuit, thigh high patent black boots, the mask and the cape! I dressed Georgie our Newf in a black cape with the words "Bite me" on the back:D

No Halloween parties for us, but the whole family is dressing up to take the kids trick or treating. DH LOVES Halloween. He sews all of the costumes. This year we are going with a Peter Pan theme. DS was the one to choose the theme. DS will be Captain Hook, DH Peter Pan, DD Tinkerbell, and I will be Wendy. After DH is finished making all of the costumes I'll have someone take our picture so I can share it with everyone.

A friend/neighbor of mine has an annual adult costume Halloween party every single year. The theme is different each year, and we always try to drag theme out of them EARLY in the year! LOL

This year, I've been "cordially invited to attend my 1958 Senior High School Prom".

lol

Think Grease. SO.....I'm in the market for a 1950's prom gown and tuxedo. Any ideas? LOL

I am going to a Halloween party this year. I am going as Little Red Riding Hood. My cousin is going to be a pirate and her DH is going as a BEER KEG!!! The costume is hilarious. I can't wait.

Lori-

I think your idea of being the Bounty Hunter and his wife is fabulous !!! That show is like a train wreck, you just can't stop watching it once its on!

For her, uh, "ample bosom", you might need to get some balloons.. or better yet maybe a couple of smaller sized stability balls?? (haha)

If you end up doing it, please post pics!

Take care, Lynn M.
