anyone from or near ellicotville, ny?

i know that it's a ski town, but i do a girl's weekend every summer with some friends and this year we are renting a house in this town. we pick our spot based on driving distance for one of us who won't fly. anyone know anything about it? from what i've seen on the web, it looks adorable.

I live in Orchard Park, which is about 40 minutes from there. It's a beautiful little town. There are a lot of restaurants and pubs and the scenery is really nice. You'll enjoy it.

What weekend are you going? I could invite myself along. ha ha

I am not from there, but I WAS there over New Years. Friends of mine live near Fredonia NY and they have a ski house in that town. We went skiing at Holiday Valley, and from what I saw of the town, it was lovely! Cute shops and friendly people. You should have a good time. Laura

We drive up there from central Ohio every winter - to ski of course, but Laura's right, it's lovely! Holiday Valley sends us information every year about their summer events so I know there's fun stuff to do in July. Have a good time - there's nothing more fun than a girl's get-together is there?

Hi - I don't post here very much but I'm a constant "lurker." I live in Ransomville, NY, which is about 2.5 hours from Ellicotville. My husband actually built some of the hillside condominiums that are in Ellicottville, close to the Holiday Valley resort. It's a great little town. As someone else said, great little shops, restaurants, etc. It's a very nice little town to "get away from it all." You'll really enjoy it!
