ANYBODY THINKING OF ORDERING CHALENE JOHNSON'S TURBO FIRE?

Hello, for those of you that have tried Chalene's Turbo Jam - which one is more advanced? Turbo Jam or the Turbo Jam Elite? I want to get one of the Turbo Jams but don't want it to be easy - as a Cathlete, I need an advanced workout. Thanks for any information to help me decide which one to get.

I'm not sure I would consider TJ advanced. I think it's intermediate (high intermediate at best). I would say the intensity is comparable to Cathe's STS Kickbox.
It's a FUN FUN FUN workout for days when you need to take the intensity down a notch. I did Cardio Party 1 (from the original TJ set) yesterday and my obliques are sore from all the core work. I was dripping with sweat after 45 minutes and smiled through the entire workout. It really is so much fun!:D If you feel like kicking it up a notch, you can always do 2 parties in a row.;)
Turbo Fire will be the more advanced version of TJ, but I think TJ is definitely worth owning.

Hm I'm wondering if 1 of the workouts will have weights, or will it be all cardio-based? The only reason I ask is because the older TJ sets had the sculpting workout.

Still, I really can't wait for this to come out! I was thinking about getting Insanity but I will probably opt for this instead.

i can't wait for this either. I think I will get the basic one. I think the deluxe one is too expensive for things that I don't really need. I think I will wait to get Insanity later. I hope there is some free shipping or something. Because it's really expensive.

Well, I really didn't like CLX and regret purchasing it, and I don't like choreographed cardio workouts like Turbo Jam, and I don't really like Chalene's personality for workouts, so I won't be getting it.

I know what you mean about the deluxe set, but the deluxe is suppose to have 5 extra workouts in it. I can't decide. I was thinking about buying the basic set, and then go back for the deluxe package after I try the workouts. That way I'll know if I like them enough to spend the extra money. Hopefully, they will create a deluxe package that does not include the recovery formula. I won't use it.

I have the Turbo Fire preview workout.:) It's a Hiit workout that is only 17 minutes long. I really like it! The setting is bright, the music is really good, and I find Chalene very upbeat and motivating.:D
The workout is made up of 3 athletic style drills (high impact but there is a modifier), each drill lasts 30 seconds- go full out, cough up a lung energy:p, then rest one minute. The drill is repeated 3 times for a total of 9.
The workout is short and sweet. I've been using this workout on days I can't get myself motivated to work out.

The only way I know you can save on shipping is buying through Team Beachbody's store vs. beachbody.com.
You can find free shipping on eBay , but I would avoid that place....too many bootlegs there.:mad:

I was annoyed about the "coach only" bonus when I initially read about it (but not what it was). If the workout listed is Burn Circuit 1 from CLX, I am over being annoyed. I have CLX so won't be missing anything.

I am with you Cynthia on buying things separate. I know I will want the extra workouts but am not that thrilled with the extras. I might just get the basic kit and wait the month or so it normally takes for the DVD Only option to be available for the deluxe kit.

ETA: I also can't imagine there being free shipping! Beachbody don't do nothin' for free! I think there is discounted shipping also if you order through a Coach.

I agree with buying the basic and deluxe set separately. I want to make sure that I like it and I probably won't be using the formula whatever it is that comes with the deluxe set anyway.

When you mentioned that the 17 minutes workout, does that mean you work out only for 17 minutes that day or you maybe have to do HiiT and fire turbo workout on the same day? I'm curious. It seems that working out only 17 minutes per day is very short.

I'm thinking of buying this workout from a coach. Is it Jonahnah, is she one of the beachbody coaches. I think we should ask her about it.

The sample workout did not come with a rotation guide, so I really can't say how it's fits in with the program. This is a cardio program, and I think the program will include suggestions on how to combine TF with CLX.
I've been using the preview disc with lower body strength training.

edited to add....oops, I thought it was cardio only! I just noticed it has toning dvds listed. Now I'm confused!!! Chalene's webinar gave me the impression this was a cardio program and was meant to be used with CLX.
