Reviews, anyone? I'm thinking about this option instead of an ipod. I like talk and news radio along with music.

i have sirius for my home and car...........i didnt know there is a portable small version.......i will be at radio shack monday if this is true.............holy cow......i am ADDICTED to channel 22

I have XM and love it. I listen to MSNBC every night on my way home from work. I love the music channels too. There's really not much difference between the two - so pick the one you like best and go with it. But do know that if you go local - Best Buy or Fry's - you can usually get a different portable device for a lot less, and there is a month fee. The one I'm looking at for my new Mini (my Christmas present!) is $29.99. It's also $12.99 a month.

We've had Sirius for a year in both vehicles, we use the internet to listen in the house. We love it. It's what FM radio used to be before Clear Channel and all the megastations screwed them up.

We also love it because as we drive through our local mountainous terrain we don't lose the radio as we did with normal radio. But if you're in a city with tall buildings,in the country with deep forest cover, in a tunnel or stopped under a bridge you lose the satelite signal. Weather doesn't seem to bother it.

I haven't listened to a tape in the car since we installed them.

There are deals with Sirius for add on units. You pay 12.99 month for the first unit, units 2-4 for additional 6.99 total (not each) the internet service is free.

I have XM (just replaced my portable one w/ a car stereo version). My best friend, sister and BIL all have a portable XM device that allows them to record XM in advance and take it with them. They love it! Oh, they also have the Delphi Roady IIs (all 3 of them)!
