Any Thoughts on Yoga Max/Yoga Relax

I'm thinking about purchasing these before the 40% discount expires. I'm not an expert on yoga but I'm not a beginner either. I like P90X Yoga X but I'm getting a little bored with it. I also use Namaste Yoga (it was on Fit TV); their workouts are about 22 minutes long. I need some input from you guys.

I think these would be great for you. That's kind of where I fall, as well, and these are nice DVDs. They're easy to follow, offer decent sequencing and qeueing and I enjoy doing these. They are not what I reach for when I want more "serious" yoga (then I go Brian Kest, which I love - I also have Shiva Rea but haven't worked up to that yet), but they are good DVDs. They also have a few premixes on each which is also particularly nice. Definitely worth it - especially with a 40% discount code!!

Cathe's 'max' isn't really a max, its more of a medium. I really like her DVDs. these are great. I like her style, I like the premixes, I like the variety. I use them to relieve doms a lot. They are almost as good as a bath, 'Calgon take me away.':p

I really like both of these dvds, but I am not a yoga guru at all. I feel great during and afterwards. I love Cathe's cool down stretches (especially the one with STS) and these are just a step up from them for me.

I really like them but to me I want a yoga wo to stretch me out relax me releive tension and both do just that. I have other dvds by other instructors but they are beginner ones so I'm a beginner. So I love cathe yoga so I guess people mean aerious as in more pretzel like or faster noot sure. But if u want a goood stretch and relax id say there for u. I'm going to do one tonight I think.

I got yoga relax out of desperation to relieve my back pain! I've tried yoga on and off for years and just couldn't stand it. Love yoga relax. Cathe is my type of yoga instructor! And it has done amazing things to help my back.

I found Yoga Relax more to my liking. It really was relaxing! I felt stretched out and good when finished. Yoga Max...I only did it once and can't remember too much.

I generally don't like yoga BUT just yesterday I tried Yoga Relax, which is indeed relaxing, and I really needed a stretch.

It has a couple time saver premixes; #1 is 28 min or so and the #2 is 32 minutes.

I like the way Cathe explains how to increase or decrease the intensity.

Lastly, I like it better than doing Stretch Max because the stretches are better and are held for a nice amount of time.

I did Yoga Relax for the first time today and I love it. It was very relaxing and I felt deeply stretched out afterwards. I haven't purchased Yoga Max but now I am considering buying it since I was so impressed with Yoga Relax.

Yoga

I have done both yoga max and relax. Yoga max did raise my heart rate up and it was quite a sweat challenge. It was my first yoga workout. Yoga, though not my favourite workout, does fit in well with heavy strength training...Personnally I need to do more often for stretching purposes. I would like to increase my flexibility as well. I just need to find time to do them...twice per week

That's my problem, too. I actually love flexibility and yoga training, but for some reason I neglect them both. I never have a problem doing my cardio and strength training, but I don't focus on flexibility like I should. I have been using her Stretch Max about once a week, but I think Yoga Relax and Yoga Max will be nice additions. Maybe make me do better with incorporating flexibility.

I have noticed that Cathe has longer and better stretches at the end of most of her workouts than other trainers--and I am grateful for that!

Yes, I agree with you on cathe incorporating longer stretch compared to other trainer . I never missed stretching sessions after each. Yes I think for us working out early morning, the best convenient time is evenings. That is the time I usually feel DOMS from workout done in the morning. Plus It would help to have a hard nice sleep :):):)

I've used yoga relax the day following an especially hard HIIT or ST workout to help me ease the tightness. It really helps me. I also like to do it first thing in the morning on the week-ends (because I have more time) to help get my body ready for an intense HIIT class I take on Sat afternoons.

I also really like yoga max, too. I love the balance challenges in this one, especially. And that down dog - with lowering down and then arching the back thingy - love it! I feel so great after doing this workout - both really.

I love yoga max and yoga relax, tried to like yoga for a long time but could not get in to it.
Cathe's yoga changed all that, I eased in to them with the premixes.
Now I put special time aside to do the full work outs, I can even do the balancing poses now:)

Love the down dog to up dog sequence too, and I love the dragon pose in yoga relax. they are filmed beautifully, Cathe's voice is perfect, it is not boring, and you feel like you really accomplished something when your done.
Something a yoga class at the gym or other yoga work outs I tried have never done. Just my 2 cents, HTH.

Get them you can't go wrong:):):) Their on sale!!! :D

Bri:)
