Any particular reason why there is 1 workout to a dvd?

I don't like this way because I want all the Cathe's workouts and I have to find more space in my shelfs.

Maybe there are so many extras that they can only fit on one DVD! I read that there are pre-mixes, but since we don't have the details, wouldn't it be a wonderful surprise if there are more combinations than on the last DVD? :9

since everyone is dancing around this.... i believe they did them cuz there was so much whining about the dual layers and so many people having issues with playing them on their dvd players...
they decided to go single layer and put one workout per dvd..

i personally never had any issues with the dual layers.. and wish they had left them 2-3 per... but then.. if i had to listen to the complaints.. i would have made the business decision to go the easy way out too!

sadly this appears to be a case of the few noisy ones ruining it for the rest of us
:-(

I think it's more economical for me. I can't afford $50 very often for a video - no matter how good the deal is. I can save to afford $30 for one I really want. Also the combined dvd's often have a workout on it I wouldn't really use. So I think for many it's more than the dvd format.

Or maybe because its more of a money maker to have them separate. The 3 gym style dvd's will cost $80.00 purchased separately versus $50.00 for the Pure Strength dvd.

I think it was an excellent business idea. It makes no sense to have cutting edge products if half of your clientele can't get that product to play in their dvd player. You can't expect everyone to lay down a fortune for a top of the line dvd player to play just ONE dvd when the dvd player they have plays all other dvds JUST FINE. It's almost like cutting off your nose to spite your face to continue on in that fashion.

You don't necessary need a high end DVD player. I've had a cheap $40 Apex DVD player from Wal-Mart for four years and never had a problem playing any DVDs on it. Just my observation NOT trying to start anything.

I also have a cheap DVD player in my exercise room, a brand I have never heard of sampo or something. It plays all my Cathes DVDs just fine. Actually I have never had a problem playing them in my other DVD players either--the sony one costing alot more. So who knows what is the deciding factor in rather a dvd will play in which dvd player. I do not blame Cathe at all for going this route. There was ALOT of problems with the last batches.

[font face=comic sans ms color=navy size=2]I agree with desertbriez. So many were complaining that the dual layer DVD's were causing problems...this is SNM's answer!!! Besides as others have pointed out it is also economical! Cathe and SNM are working so hard to make us happy by not only producing new workouts but by taking care of the dual layer issue. Lets smile and be happy! We're getting new workouts soon!!
