any others like me?

I just have to share with everyone that I love this time of year!! I live on the east coast where the temperature is 93 plus humidity today, and on days like today instead of exercising. I decided to sunbathe outdoors. As soon as I layed down I was dripping!! A half hour out doors, I was soaked with a combination of sunblock and sweat! It was as if I went jogging for an hour. I just love that feeling of lying out on a towel under the hot, humid sun and just feeling the sweat dripping all over me. It is such a great way to release toxins. Are there any other "sunbathing sweathogs like me out there. I just came in from outside and just had to share cause it just feels so good!!

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate it. I am in Ann Arbor, fondly known in local circles as the "armpit of Michigan"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I worked out yesterday to a heat index of 95 oF and was dripping onto the floor, drank 3 16 oz glasses of water to get through......today worked out in 90 oF plus horrid humidity because it has thunderstormed here all afternoon and evening. I hate it when I shower after a Cathe workout and am still soaking wet with fresh sweat afterwards.

And the rest of the time, I steal around town seeking air conditioned cool spots in which to sit with my books and study since we have no air conditioning at home at all, and if I see the sun at all, it's from 4pm onwards, and never before.

Hate it. And I think you must be crazy!!!!!!!!!!! ;-)

I am a Spring and Autumn girl!

Not nuts about heat and humidity (here about 94 today)--
Nope, nope, can't say that I am......:p

Sorry, Amy- I'm with Clare! I despise the summer heat and humidity! More sun is lovely, but the feeling I get when I step outside is not. I also don't get any sun and try to stay close to fans and air conditioners lol!

I do enjoy the sun, however I'm not a sunbather either. It was rally hot here yesterday and it made my workouts really tough. I dranks so much water, I could hear it sloshing around when I walked. Summer is my favourite time of year though.

Well, I have to say that after that absolutely ENDLESS winter here in New York, this summer weather is quite welcome. Although I heard today that the temp is going down again tonight and will be low all weekend. But that's good for my DH who will be riding in the Tour de Cure bike marathon this weekend. I'm not a sunbather, but I am more than ready for the heat. Bring it on!!!

I thought your story sounded miserable and was surprised you enjoyed it! I hate the heat and wish there were some way of skipping summer completely. I would rather have a tooth drilled than lay out in the hot sun, not moving. So, I guess so far, there aren't many "others like me"!

;-)

I am here in the dry desert heat of Tucson and praying that the heat and humidity is long gone by the time I fly off to Michigan to see my mother in July. But I am happy for you, since you obviously delight in it! LOL! I am with Mogambo. Humid heat is heinous! We have finally gone over that 100 degree mark but it's so much more tolerable than what you experience when it's muggy and hot.

As I am reading your post Amy, I am laughing because I just asked the same question the other day when it was hot and humid. Everyone around me is always hot. I hate going places (like to work) when the air is blasted. I like being warm. I won't go as far to say I will lay out in the sun when it's 90, but I enjoy the warmth. I really am not cut out to be a Wisconsinite. I am always the last one to turn on the air. Once I get the ceiling fans going, it's pretty nice in the house. I don't even mind doing a Cathe workout in the heat, but I workout in the recroom where it is cooler. However, a couple years ago, I didn't have a recroom and always worked out in the heat. It never bothered me. Everyone thought I was crazy. For some reason I actually have a lot of energy in the heat. So you go girl! I'm with ya!

I'm glad Amy finally found a sister-spirit. I was just thinking how right about now, pictures of snow should be classified as pornography.

I am always "hot", keep my house cold in the winter, love winter, love winter sports. This has been true as long as I can remember. Hey, fab40, I'm leaving NC in October, wanna trade houses? I could live in Wisconsin!

Actually, I am with you Amy. I do love the hot, humid weather. We get that starting in late April until October sometimes. I live in NC and it is just a way of life here. But I don't lay out anymore. I used to lay out for about 4 to 5 hours aday then at age 25 I developed a HUGE sunspot in the middle of my forhead. I looked like I had a bulls-eye in the middle of my noggin! That ended my sun loving days. Now I rely on Toma's Tanperfert for my "tan"

Mogambo, you crack me up. During the winter months, I would gladly trade places with you. I will even give you my office at work, since they keep the d*** place at about 60. Okay, maybe not 60, but sometimes my nails turn blue. And that is no lie. Everyone thinks I'm a big wuss.
