Any other 90210 fans?

Yeah I know, it's vapid, cheesy & shallow, but damn I love that show! I find it so nostalgic of my college years............

Anyway, I heard this rumor over the w/e that it's coming back? With some of the original cast. The girls anyway--Brenda, Kelly & Donna. I don't think any of the guys. Except Nat (YAWN).

So can anyone clarify? Any links? Any info I'm missing?

YES! Laura, you and I must be the same age because I watched 90210 in my dorm room at Purdue Universtiy...and I'm not ashamed to admit, but when I was on maternity leave 19 months ago, I watched the reruns on Soap Net. I LOVE 90210!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, so far, from what I've read, "Kelly" will be back as guidance counselor at West Beverly for some episodes. "Donna" was scheduled to appear in an episode, but now I read that might be on hold while Tori Spelling (LOVE HER!) is on maternity leave. "Brenda" is in negotiations to come back (LOVED Brenda!!) and Nat is confirmed (I, too, yawn at that.)

None of the guys are coming back.

I saw a promo for it on the CW last night...Looks good! :)

Yes! They are coming back and like you...I'm kind of happy about it...yes, it was cheesy...but I missed out on a lot of my childhood do to a dysfunctional childhood to say the least...so I used to live vicariously through these girls...isn't that crazy! OH, but I don't care...

I didn't hear when, but it's supposed to be this fall...

Awesome! I think the little item I saw over the w/e confirmed Brenda's return. WHOO HOOOOO! LOVED her! HATED Kelly, that sanctimonious, judgemental, holier than thou b*tch! Oh, I loved Val too, I wish she'd come back........yeah, I usually enjoy the troublemakers.

So no Brandon? Steve? OMG I was SO in love w/Steve, I thought he was the sweetest, most adorable boy.......I couldn't care less about Dylan, the self proclaimed bad boy. Such a sissy LOL. He'd get chewed up & spit out here in Sopranoland..........}(

P.S. I love Tori too. I even liked her goody goody character. When the show was first on I'd watch her & think, "I'd give anything to have those abs." Of course today I look & think, "has that girl ever seen the inside of a gym?" :7

I watch 90210 every day from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on SoapNet. I love this show. :)

Laura - I have to admit that I watched this and Melrose Place too. I'll even go one step farther and admit to actually having the Barbie dolls of all of the characters!!! I still have them in pristine conditions - wonder if they are worth anything on Ebay now??? ;)

Hey, maybe they could finance your new ass. degree? }( Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I never really got into Melrose for some reason. 90210 started off as this low budget show w/a group of really sweet kids, & it was pretty realistic when it came to HS situations. Melrose I dunno, it seemed like a plastic knockoff of 90210.

Lol!

Melrose was a huge train wreck and it cracked me up. The story lines just got more and more crazy every week and for some reason it kept me glued to the screen. Marcia Cross (of Desperate Housewives) probably had one of the craziest story lines as the respected Doctor turned scorned lover psycho knife wielding schizophrenic. It was pure guilty pleasure for me. ;)

Yep, I'm another 90210 fan--started watching in high school and continued off and on--became a dedicated watcher again toward the end and cried at the series finale. I've mostly read about the new series on one of my favorite websites: http://gofugyourself.celebuzz.com. But it looks like they worry it won't be that great: http://gofugyourself.celebuzz.com/go_fug_yourself/2008/05/nyfugcom-the-new-921.html

And I'm also another Melrose Place watcher. I caught a couple early episodes the other day and I'd forgotten that Michael was actually a nice guy at the beginning. It was when he was still married to Jane and before Heather Locklear joined the show.

I too am very psyched for 90210's return..but I have very low expectations after watching an occasional episode of "Gossip Girl" and the "The O.C." Those shows scare me, especially since I now am a mom to two little girls!

Anwyay..I heard today the the guy who owned the "Peach Pit" (Nat?!?) will be making an appearance during the premier and that "certain original male characters" are in negotiations!
