Any ideas of repair for top of step

Does anyone know of a way to repair the plastic ribbed top on the step? I noticed a hairline tear beginning along one of the ribs. So, if anyone has come up with a way to keep their long step after it started this problem, would greatly appreciate any advice. Dianne

Gorilla Glue (you can find it at Home Depot) and duct tape!

I've used both when the edges of my step began peeling up.

You know, I can't imagine that it wouldn't. I haven't had a problem with my step since I fixed it. I would imagine it depends on how dramatic the tear is - like a little start of a thread or is it halfway across the topper?

I bought some Gorilla "tape" which should cover the sliced area very well. It's just a straight separation in the plastic/vinyl running between the solid plastic of the step itself. Thanks for your input! Dianne

Let us know how the Gorilla tape works. I'm always glad to get another tip on a good product!
