Any cushion for low back and buttocks when doing floor abs exercise?

Hi,
I'm from Singapore! I loved doing exercises and I recently discovered Cathe's DVDs and bought High Reps as one of my home exercise DVDs. I saw in the DVD that there's this girl who had something on her low back (for cushioning/protecting?) when she did the floor ab exercises. I always encountered some strain whenever i do floor ab exercise and always find the normal exercise mat does not provide enough cushioning.

Hi...I've heard Cathe say in a video (can't remember which one) that doubling up your floor mat will provide extra cushion support for the low back/buttocks area.

I use Cathe's Double Thick Yoga Mat and I have no issues most of the time. When there are more balancing moves that require me to put more weight on my tail bone or hips, I use a .5 inch thick Study Foam Pilates Mat.

But just folding your mat in half would work as well as suggested above.

I bought a half inch thick foam mat. I need cushioning not only for my back and butt but also for my knees.

I can not do floor exercises with a standard thin yoga mat.

I also bought an extra thick mat. It really helps, so it's worth the price. I've also seen people double up some thick towels for support.
