Any beginner videos?

Hi,
I just bought my step and Cathe's "all step" video was included and I'm a beginner and this is waay to advanced. I recently bought Kathy smith's step video and her's is much more "user friendly" for a beginner.
Can anyone suggest any videos that might be good for a beginner?

The All Step tape was the first step tape I have ever used so I thought it would be to advanced, plus I am not very coordinated. It really didn't take me too long to get the moves down. I still don't do all the coreography correctly, but I'm ok with that. I'd suggest sticking with it since alot of Cathe's other tapes use the same moves. Just my opinion from someone who has been stepping for a few months.

I find alot of people come here looking for beginner tapes.Unfortunatly she doesn't make any beginner tapes.Cathes tapes are for the advanced excerciser.Even her old tapes are probably more confusing then some of her new ones.
When I first got back into working out, I did Keli Roberts.Real fitness(I beleive). Then I found a article in a magazine talking about Cathe and Body Max.Body Max was the first tape I owned by Cathe. It is broken up into 3 sections.Needless to say, I could make it through the first part and probably half way through the second. Then that was it.I was dead. But I kept pushing.Eventually I got all of the moves down and my endurance got better.
I did find All Step a little bit confusing. And you probably don't want to buy any others until you make it though that one But there are some less confusing ones.
I find Kathy Smith user friendly as well. But when you get into working out with Cathe, you get to know her and I very rarely get confused anymore. She will always throw in something that you are familiar with.
All I have to tell you is don't give up.Eventually, you will get it.Start out small and work your way up.Thats what I had to do.I would think that everyone else here had to do it the same way.No one can jump right into a Cathe tape unless they are from the same planet that she is :D.

Go to www.collagevideo.com and request a printed catalog, or surf their site. They have a huge selection of videos and provide excellent customer service. They classify their step videos by both level of difficulty (beg, int., adv.) as well as level of choreography(basic, moderate, or complex.) Then you can click on the video for a preview to see if it's what you like. I think most of us cathe-ites have been doing advanced stuff for so long we wouldn't know a basic beginner video to suggest to you. I do have "Kathy Smith's Step Workout" and I would classify it as beginner-intermediate in intensity and very easy to follow basic choreography. There is no Cathe video even remotely like that. Once you get the hang of step and want a challenge, come back to Cathe!
