Antacids

Does any one know if it is okay to take these while pregnant? I am specifically asking about Rolaids. These really work well for me, and I am starting to get queasier. There are no warnings on the label concerning pregnancy. PLEASE tell me it's okay!!!!

I don't know about rolaids but I take Tums. They were on my list of acceptable meds during pregnancy and I don't know how I'd do it without them. Just make sure they are the ones that are do not contain artificial sweeteners - I know that some of the Tums do. I'm also allowed to take Pepcid and Zantac.

I was also told to stay away from those containing sodium bicarbonate which can cause swelling...

I was also told to use all approved medications Sparingly!

I get terrible heartburn when pregnant (and at no other time). I use: Tums, Zantac, and now Nexium. Nexium is just barely working. I usually pop a Nexium and chase it with 2 Tums before bed, and I still wake up gagging from reflux in the middle of the night. Not that you needed to know that much. My point is Tums are fine. Kristan, due with #3, 11-1.
