Another "what would you buy next" question. . .

Cathlete
Hello everyone. I need some input on how to go about building my currently very limited Cathe collection. I try to do cardio 3-4 times per week and weights 2-3 times per week, with the goal of toning and just generally being in shape. (I generally alternate cardio and weight days -- no time for both!) For cardio, I have Imax 2, LowMax and RS/Imax/MIC. (I also run for cardio maybe once a week.) For weights, I have MuscleMax and PUB/PLB. I'm not sure whether my next DVD should be something like KPC, BC or Imax 3 (all of which sound very fun!), or if I am in more need of adding variety to my weight training with something like the GS series. Or, maybe something I haven't even mentioned would make sense. I will, no doubt, eventually get them all, but I can't afford to get them all right away. Does anyone have any input on how they would set up their next few purchases? Thanks for listening!

RE: Another

I would go for KPC & LG. I personally LOVE KPC & LG, and it will add a nice balance to your existing cardio regimine. I just did it today as a matter of fact. There are so many premixes on that one dvd that I swear you could use all week! :)

Enjoy :p

RE: Another

Hi!

I often have the same problem as you do, so I understand, I think, where you're coming from.

A couple of things: except for MIC and RS, your "cardio" workouts are the IMAX's -- which are really anaerobic workouts -- cardio, also, but they concentrate more on getting your heart beat way up there and then down, then up, then down, whereas cardio is a more steady-on pace endurance sort of pace. You do get a cardio workout with your anaerobics, but it's not the main thrust of the workout -- or at least that's my understanding of it.

So, if it were me, I think I'd opt for another cardio workout -- something like Step Blast or any of Cathe's other step workouts. KPC is also a good cardio workout, although it probably is a little bit of cardio, plus conditioning for your muscles, as well. And it's a terrific workout.

If you want to know more about the 5 things that should be included in your weekly workouts -- and why (the different muscle groups targetted, etc), I would highly recommend the book, READY, SET, GO! by Phil Campbell.

Hope you have a super day.:7
