(Another!) Ryka Enlight II Question

Sorry, I know this subject has been been beaten to death, but I'm trying to find a new pair of Ryka Enlight II's; I bought my first pair at a steal at Sierra Trading Post (and am kicking myself now for only ordering one at that price!), but they ran out of my size and now I'm trying to figure out my other options. I know a few people here have mentioned walkingsue on ebay, however, I wear a size 8, which must be popular, because I can never find that size in her store.

I recall a long time time ago someone mentioned that you could call Ryka and tell them to transfer you to the RITA office and they could get them for you via their special stock. Could anyone tell me if this still works?

Doesn't it always seem like as soon as you find something you love it gets discontinued? Thanks to anyone who can help!

I know what you mean about finding something you love and it getting discontinued. I mean, if they were making it better than that would be fine, but it seems they (meaning lots of companies) change it and make it worse. How does that saying go, don't fix something that isn't broke. That has happened lately with lots of products that I really like and the replacement is not good at all. Oh well, what can we do! I don't get these people's logic!

Well, I didn't see any replies on this, so I went ahead and called Ryka and asked about the Enlight IIs and was told they didn't have any in stock and they weren't being made anymore (which I already knew but I thought they might still have some hiding someplace).

I still may try calling again and see if I get the same response from another customer service rep, but in the meantime I'm trying to find a replacement. I saw the N-Gage Studio Mid on zappos.com. Has anyone tried this shoe with any luck? The description says that it is mid-height and reviews stated that it wasn't any high as some of Ryka's other high-top shoes. So, was the Enlight II also considered mid-height? I didn't mind the height on the Enlight IIs but I don't want to go any higher.

Can anyone provide some insight? Thanks!

When I'm looking for something specific like this, I do a web search. Just type in the name of the shoe, and you could very well find an online store that carries them.
