Hi Anna,
I was thinking about you, also, as I was looking at the OPI rack the other day.
Can you recommend a good top coat? I just tried the Seche Vite quick dry and am quite disappointed after only day three:-(

PINK........!!!!!!!!!!!! Definitely Pink.........is the in Spring/Summer colour
Out of the new Spring collection (Las Vegas), I would recommend,
Arose At Dawn...Broke By Noon, a frosted rose pink, gorgeous, ideal for hands and feet
Chapel of Love, a brightish pink, shot through with fine gold. Gorgeous on toes, ideal on fingers with a tan
Its Sheer Luck, a very sheer baby pink, shot through with silver, really natural, ideal for fingers and toes (pale colours BIG on toes at the moment - great with a tan. Could get away with one coat of this on finger nails.
Royal Flush Blush, a candy, frosted pale pink..very cute on nails. It could go on toes, but I think it is more of a finger colour
If you want a Barbie pink, look out the shade, La Paz-itively Hot from the South American range (Spring 2002's collection)....absolutely gorgeous on the toes I had friends order this shade in multiple quantities !
And if you want a real nude pink shade, then I would recommend Hopelessly In Love, from the OPI Sheer Romance collection.....gorgeous with the Alpine Snow white nail colour to make a French Manicure look.
And don't forget the French Manicure look on the toes......a huge look right now and very very natural
Also, OPI's Summer Beach collection will be out soon too (probably end of May time), with 6 new shades for the beach, usually with outlandish shades of blue and green.

OPI do 4 top coats,
* Top Coat, apply after both colour layers, and seal in the free edge of your nail. Re-apply every other day and seal in the free edge.
* Rapid Dry Top Coat, dries through the polish layers in 5 minutes, good if you are in a rush, but not my favourite. Gives a high gloss finish.
* Start To Finish, good for those on a budget, it is a base coat, nail strengthener and top coat in one. Again seal in the free edge of your nail. Also available in Formaldeyde Free, for those with allergies.
* Drip Dry - a new product, put a drop at the base of your nail, hold fingers in a downwards direction, so the product moves over the nail to the free edge.
My personal favourite is the Top Coat, you have to wait a little longer than you would with Rapid Dry, but it works a treat

If you have a Sally's Beauty Supply near you, pick up Never Chip. It's a great high gloss top coat--like Anna says be sure to seal the ends of your nails.
Never Chip is expensive--it's been a long time since I bought a bottle so I don't remember how much it was just that I found it pricey. HOWEVER, put a coat on every 2 days & your color will last for a week. You will need to buy a good nail polish remover to get it off. I recommend the GIANT purple bottle at Sally's, too. And that is pretty cheap for as much as you get. I want to say it's about $5 for that 32 oz bottle.

OH NO!! I am a recovering OPI addict Anna...you can't tell me about all those great colors with the oh so cute names...and now I am growing nails again(I have these phases)I am trying very hard not to use your link...And by the way if anyone has ever not bought a bottle of Nail Envy 'cause they think it is too pricy should know it is the best stuff around!! I invested in a bottle about a month or so ago and my nails are sooo nice looking now! Oh what the heck....OPI here I come.....have a wonderful day! Donna.
Thank you Thank you Anna for sharing your fashion expertise. I checked in the Opi site and those colors are fabulous. I can see I will have to get more than ONE color since I couldn't decide which one to get first. A Rose at Dawn, Royal Flush, Sheer Luck etc. LOL

Anna, just wanted to pop in and say that I miss all your posts so I read this one just for the sake of hearing from you If you saw my nails you'd probably die, I'm just not a high fashion person, stricly maintenance where nails are concerned, OH, but I have been doing the body brush thing still!!! So I'm not a lost cause!!!

Briee, if I lived near by, I would soon get your nails into tip top condition, with my magic touch :7 (I have just done a pedicure for a friend this morning). I am also a tip top wrist slapper for poorly looked after nails too, so I am pleased to hear you are a maintenance girl :7 !

Well...it is OPI for me from now on!! The polish definately goes on much smoother, lasts longer(I polished my nails on Saturday and by Tuesday they still look like new) and the colors are so fab..u...lous. I bought 3 OPI's and will go looking for more. I tried several different places and they were out of Rose at Dawn, Sheer Luck, Royal Flush Blush and the Argentini Pinkini (isn't that a cute name?) They only had the slots were the colors were supposed to be. :-(
It looks like these colors are all the 'go' here too!

Is this obsession or what? I've been calling around at the Nail shops and Beauty salons in my area, to see if they have any of these OPI colors? LOL Alot of them just have the Winter collection. I don't know if this information will serve me much in the future, but at least I'm finding out what days their new shipments come in.

Not So Bora-Bora-ing Pink is one of my fav shades! Love it. Just got a new shade (for me) called Shanghai Shimmer, very pretty pink with, what I would call, a hint of lilac. I do have to use 3 coats to get the desired cover, but it goes with everything. EVEN spandex!:7
