And Tucker Too... OT - Good bye to a great dog

Sooooo sorry to hear about Tucker, Christine! He sounds like a wonderful dog! His life was definitely cut too short!!!

I just had to smile when you mentioned the wiggle butt and grin.

Thanks for sharing Tucker's picture with us, what a BEAUTIFUL dog, inside and outside!

Sending you big cyber hugs. Please take care of yourself!

You ladies are so wonderful. Thanks for your wonderful responses. I think the shock is wearing off and it's starting to be the little things. Like my DH went to take our other dog, Kimo, for a walk, got the bag and started crying because Tuck wasn't there jumping up and down and whining in excitment. Or I find myself reaching down to pat a head that isn't there.

My company has been very good, too. Basically telling me that "OF COURSE you stay home!" "Take as much time as you need!".

We took him to the vet to be cremated this morning. It was tough saying good bye, but we had to. He's up in heaven keeping my mom company until the rest of the family joins them. Anyone with as pure a soul as he had, has to be getting the absolute best treatment.

Thanks again for the wonderfully sweet words for my buddy. I really do appreciate it.

You are more than welcome! You are so special to us!!! I'm glad your company is so understanding too.:)

i just signed on for the first time today. what a shock to read about tucker, after you just told me all about him in an email. i am sitting here with tears rolling down my face and with a sick feeling in my stomache.

i wish i could say the right thing or do something for you. all i can do is send hugs and tell you that i am heartbroken, even though i never met you or tucker.

i am so very sorry. you are right. GOD takes the good ones early.

i am so very sorry for what you are going through. i love my doggie with all my heart, and i can not imagine the grief you are experiencing now. Tucker was a cutie pie for sure. god bless him and your family.

Christine, the next time I see someone on a cell phone while driving, I'm going to tell them your story. What a terrible loss to your family, and everyone who knew Tucker. It sounds like he brightened a lot of lives.

I am so sorry about your loss. A loss is a loss so I am sorry for you. I love my Coco and I have kids I would be sad just the same. I love her as much as my kids. God gave us these beautiful creatures to charish them and appreciate all levels of life.

More hugs to you.

Another sitting here teary eyed. He is a beautiful, beautiful dog who will be with you always.

Makes me so mad that for some reason CA decided to make driving while talking on cells OK until July of 2008. What really takes so long to make a phone hands free if need be?

I surely hope that driver has learned a lesson as she took part of your life with away because she felt the need to talk on her phone.

Is it really worth it?
