What a shock it must have been to lose him so quickly.

I firmly believe that if there is something of humans that continues to exist after death, there must also be something of beloved companion animals that continues on as well. Perhaps someday, that something in us will be reunited with something of all those we have loved and lost.

Christine, I am so sorry about Tucker! His life was too short! Hang onto all those great memories. I am sure you have read Rainbow Bridge but just in case:


Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

Christine, I'm so sorry for your loss. It's just so unfair that one person's bad driving has to cause so much pain. These things shouldn't happen but sometimes they do and unfortunately we can't predict or stop them. I'm curious, did the driver even stop and apologize?

Hi Christine, I responded to you on the Cheetah check in but I wanted to post here also in homage to a wonderful dog.

Your neighbors meant well, but that was definitely not the right thing to say!! He was your child to you and a beautiful one who gave you nothing but love at all times.

I hope it helps to think that although you may be very sad now, I'm sure Tucker isn't and that he is busy romping around in heaven having a good old time.
