And the WINNER ....

RE: Norma!

Deb & Norma,

I think the Pendulum is in Cardio and Weights, if you happen to have that one. Don't worry Norma, you'll get it once you see it. I think it's more difficult to explain than it is to do. Have fun for all of us!!!

:)

Okay, I'm having a brain lapse. What's the difference between straddle taps and fast foot repeaters? I think I've been doing them the same way - just not as many repeaters as taps. When I think straddle taps I think IMAX 2, and when I think fast foot repeaters I think Step Blast. But I do the same move - just fewer. What am I missing? And Deb - ditto on the awesome job kudos. What a great job!

I'm with you LSass. That's the way I do them, just fewer fast-foot repeaters.

I'm not positive but aren't straddle taps "Straddling" the board and alternating and fast foot repeaters are facing the board alternating tapping with your toes???

yes Mama D you are correct! Fast foot repeaters are like the ones in HSC where you rotate around the board. the straddle taps are in Imax2 and SB:D

I just had to double check and thanks goodness for chaptered DVDS.

In IMAX 3 Interval 6 she instructs to power 3, then straddle, power 3 again, then straddle, tap.

In SB combo three, it's a knee up shuffle, shuffle, knee up & exit and she calls them fast-foot repeaters in this W/O.

Sorry for being such a stickler.

I guess I'm not too much of a stickler since I got that wrong. I meant IMAX 2 NOT Imax 3. Imax 2 interval 6.

I did High Step Training Advanced last night. Both of these moves are in one of the cardio intervals.

The straddle taps are almost like the side shuffles, but you're hopping over the high step (with only 2 risers). When you shuffle to the right, your left foot taps the top of the step.

For the fast feet, you face the step and just tap, tap, tap -- alternating feet.

Truthfully, I could barely do either!! In lieu of straddle taps, I actually just shuffled :)

Well, let me tell you - I would have voted for all those plie jacks, air jacks, tucks, etc. - but I figured they're not actually STEP moves. They're high impact on the floor moves. If they're included, I want a re-vote!!! :) They're hard as all get-out, but that's what I love about them - I've never been pushed so hard as when she has me doing those things where you jump up and are supposed to touch your heels together. Yeah, right.

Cute lil' aerobic dancer!!:+ :) No, NOOOOOO Slam-It's!!!! At the end of Step Blast, I referred to these as "Stumble It's":p I do more of a step tap, like the lo version in Low Max. The high impact of those bothers my knees a lil'. Don't knowwhy, since I can do other high impact moves.
My fave is pendulums, power jigs...hey!...What about reverse turns with a lil'lasso arm!!!:) Those are fun too. Six count mambo with a pivot!!! A-steps with shuffle down the board!! Yae!!:+
