And a comment about knees...

I don't know if you all remember how I was whining about my knees a few weeks back. I started taking glucosamine about a month ago and my knees feel great! I can't believe it. I don't have any pain in them at all. Not even first thing in the morning when I come downstairs. I used to be really stiff at that time of day.

If you have joint pain and you haven't tried this stuff...do! I'm so glad the old lady in my office suggested it.

I get mine through Melaleuca. I get my multivitamins from them too. They have some patented method that makes them absorb much better than your regular store bought vitamins.

I just started taking this again. Its good to know that it works b/c I wasn't taking it long enough the first time.I have been having problems with my knees to lately,so I was hoping this would work.

I've tried from time to time to take it, but I can't find tablets small enough for me to swallow. They are all so darn big! x( I would love to be able to try it. I just keep throwing expired bottles away.

I've been taking glucosamine since 2001, when my doctor found out that not only do I have scoliosis, but I also have osteoarthritis in my spine. I know that it's only a matter of time before this gets to my knees... if it isn't there already. Thank you, genes.:( My doctor told me she couldn't find any research that totally convinced her that glucosamine has any benefits, but she said that if it made me feel better, there is no harm in taking it.

What helped my knees even more was a bit of modification to my leg workouts as suggested by a friend who's a PT and rotating/alternating weight workouts for the lower body with floor work and kickboxing. This way I didn't pound too hard on my knees with endless jumps on the step bench and numerous reps with heavy weights at my sides or on my back.

I do notice that with glucosamine, when my knees get sore, they bounce back faster.

Pinky - I've got scoliosis too. Do you find that you have a lot of lower back pain when doing squats?
