An ode to my favourite healthy processed foods

Hey, so there is so much emphasis nowadays on this forum and elsewhere about eating clean, not eating processed foods, etc., but not all processed foods are crap - there are some fairly healthy options out there. So I thought, let's have a thread dedicated to our favourite, healthier processed foods. After all, raw cauliflower does get pretty boring after a while!

Here's some of my faves:

  • Amy's Texas Burgers (veggie)
  • Amy's Brown Rice Bowl
  • Epi Bakery multi-grain bread (insanely good whole grain bread - sorry, gotta live in Toronto to get it - nyaah nyah!)
  • Irrestibles chipotle hummus
  • Derlea Chipotle Pepper paste
  • French's Bold and Spicy mustard
  • Ezekiel hamburger buns
  • Money's veggie burgers: all kinds
  • Nuts to You Mystery Butter 2 (organic peanut and hazelnut butter!)
  • Amy's bean and cheese burritos
  • PC Spicy Black Bean Soup
  • PC Volcano Chunky Salsa
  • And of course, Three Shots Espresso Vodka (well, how unhealthy could it be?? :p)

What are your favourites?

I don't have any fave healthy processed foods, but I'd love to have your Irrestibles chipotle hummus! That sounds absolutely amazing!

Almost anything by the Dr. Praeger's brand (Tex Mex Veggie Burgers are my favorite).
Almost anything by Ezekiel - have you tried their tortillas?

I tried Amy's burritos - bean and cheese and another one, and didn't care for them. I have been trying her soups but have yet to find one I really like.

My kids love her cheese pizza.

Other kids favorites - Cheddar Bunnies, Bunny Friends (a combination of chocolate bunnies, chocolate chip, and graham) - Like Teddy Grahams.

Favorite bars -
Jay Robb Protein Bars
Greens Plus Chocolate bars and Wild Berry bars

Ditto on the Ezekial Buns

I'll add - Jimtown Store Fig Olive Tapenade (only available in Northern California :D But I have the recipe!)

Nutella

Nutella

Nutella

Oh - and -

Mary's Gone Crackers

Trader Joe's Spicy Hummus

Turkery Burgers

Hey - where's the ode?

I need to try the Mystery Butter!

The ode was a ploy to suck you all in, but if you really want to hear me sing, just listen really really really closely...

(Are your ears bleeding yet?)

Either I need my hearing checked or you need to sing louder, not higher. Is your doggie howling yet?

I noticed you did not put Ginger Ice Cream on your list. :D

I bought Girl Scout Cookies yesterday. I only ate two Thin Mints. Talk about self control!

Yes Nutella counts! It's a mental health food.

LOL, totally agree!

I'm too tired to write my list, but there are some great foods out there. I'm going to have my Crunchmaster gluten free flax crackers and some roasted red pepper hummus!
