Several weeks ago I posted asking if anyone could recommend a workout that I could do for 20 minutes per day after I get home from work. I've been working long hours all this year and have fallen completely out of shape. I just want to start to tone up again, and I get discouraged knowing that I face a long workout when I come home from work tired and hungry.
AmyG sent me an email suggesting that I try Jari Love's Slim and Lean. She gave me a link to it on Deep Discount DVD and it was like $8.00, and I trust Amy's opinion, so I got it. Well, I just tried it and it is perfect for me!!!
The whole workout is one hour long and is broken down into 11 (not including the warm-up) 5-minute segments. I was rather skeptical about spending only 5 minutes per body part, but I was wrong! The workout is plenty tough, and yet welcoming to people at all levels of fitness. One of the back-up exercisers does less advanced movements so you can progress at your own pace. Now all I have to do is talk myself into doing about TEN MINUTES when I get home from work, 5 days per week, and I can tone up! If I'm willing to spend 15 minutes, I can thoroughly work out 3 body parts. This is SO what I needed!!
And even though I only spent $8, Slim & Lean is a high-quality workout with a nice set, great music, and a friendly instructor who has been a personal trainer for a long time, and who really motivated me. I actually did my first push-ups EVER! For some reason, I had never been able to do them before.
AmyG, you're a genius. Thank you so much!! :7 :7 :7 :7 :7
