Amy Bento or Tracey Staehle??

I'm thinking of getting another weight/sculpt workout to add to my Cathe and Jari Love stuff. Any opinions on which one of their newest weight workouts is better? How would you compare the two?

Or any other suggestions...

TIA!

Hmmmmmm
I have nothing scientific to offer here but I have to say I like them both. Amy's All Pump DVDs are challenging but I have heard quite a few negative reviews regarding her kick boxing form. I think Tracey's form is better and her sculpt DVDs are also challenging. Each use much different moves than Cathe so it's nice to have a break. I would go to both of their sites and preview their DVD clips. Or go crazy and try one of each }(

Amy's APX work has some multi joint work to start then she goes into each body part. It is regular weight lifting with some Amy flare. Tracey's sculpting workouts are going to be lower weight. Her Sweatfest Sculpt looks good to me *I think* but it's touted as rehabilitative working on neglected muscles, balance, and coordination. The sculpt included on High Intensity Kickbox Challenge is different but you will be very limited in how heavy you can go. You will be able to lift heavier with Amy, depending on what type of weighted workout you are looking for. Tracey's best workout from the first series is her High Intensity Step Mix. I also use her core workout from time to time and enjoy that a lot. I've recently acquired Amy's KBX, HLX, Cardio Pump Step, Advanced Step Challenge, and I just ordered her Cardio Pump Hi/Lo. I enjoy Amy's weight work and her cardio and am finding myself reaching for her workouts more and more. Amy's HLX has most of APX on it combined within 3 premixes. I love premix #7 which works the lower body really well interspersing a few cardio blasts with the lower body weight work. With Amy's newest releases you get a lot of workout for your money. Definitely check out the clips on both websites. This should give you a really good idea of each instructor's style. Good luck with your decision! I still haven't decided if I'm preordering Tracey's workouts.

I just ordered SweatFest from Tracey..the clips look GREAT! I love her form and her attention to detail.

I really like Amy Bento, I love her spirit and her energy; but for me and I repeat...FOR ME...she is just too sloppy in her approach and too reckless. She does very risky moves which I don't mind when she keeps good form; which she does not always do. I also think that with riskier moves the instructor should offer form pointers along with telling you why you are doing this. I mean what muscles are we trying to hit; and most important...effective...let me repeat...EFFECTIVE alternatives. I think Amy has a great future in fitness, but I think she needs to clean up her presentation a bit.

I was beyond disappointed in her Kickboxing workout, not so much because of her bad kickboxing form... I knew about that from reviews of the workout; but her form was bad period. It didn't matter what kind of workout it was, it was plain and simple a sloppy presentation.

I don't have any of Tracey's workouts but I am looking forward to this batch. I went ahead and ordered all of them after looking at all of the clips. It looks like this lady rocks! I hope I'm not disappointed.

When I saw her doing a hack squat, with heels on the 4" platform (or maybe even higher?) and bar behind the knees, I decided that she was NOT the person to get a safe and effective weight workout from. (Or maybe I decided that even before then, when I saw her do 1-legged deadlifts with a VERY rounded back in 'A-team Bootcamp.' Ironic, as her BACKGROUND exercisers had better form than she did. )

Well, i have Amy's All Pump from 1st series on my Netflix queue (coming Thurs.), so I'll try that out, but Im not as excited as before since hearing all the comments on safety and form. I REALLY dont respect an instructor who doesn't have proper form - I mean they are supposed to be the ones teaching me.

Maybe I'll preorder Tracys sculptfest one, I still don't know....Thanks for all the info..keep it coming if anyone else has something to add.

Can someone point me to the right direction as to where I can view clips of Tracey's Sculptfest Dvd's??
