Amino Supplements and or Pre-Workout Supplement

Ivy

Cathlete
If anyone has tried any of these supplements could you let me know if they were helpful to you. I really don't know much about the Amino supplements or the pre-workout supplements because I'm kind of late in investigating these things but having gotten older and needing more help with regards to developing muscle it's gotten harder so I'm checking into this now. Any help would be much appreciated☺

Thanks

I faithfully use aminos almost daily, I use one that includes glutamine. They really help me with muscle recovery and building muscle. I use them during my workout after my workout and on non workout days if really sore. If you get a plain flavored one, they can be very bitter, so I usually would just throw it down like a shot.. I now use a flavored one, but it does not contain artificial colors or sweeteners.

As far as a preworkout, I use a aminos and a green tea drink called an Eshot, it's a natural source of caffeine from green tea and contains plant adaptagens to help support your body. It enhances mental focus and performance.

I have used many products through the years, I've always been a big fan of aminos. Pre workouts as I got older, I need something more mild, no jitters, just good energy and focus. Water is also very key.

This sounds like something I need, what brands do you use? I know there are many out there? Just so I understand you use the Aminos both before and after your workout?
Thanks

Hi Ivy, I use Isagenix now, I've been using their products for over 5 years and am very happy with my results with their products. Prior to that, I would just use Vitamin Shoppe brand. Through my nutrition studies, I've learned a lot about artificial colors, flavors and sweeteners and really try to stay away from that stuff now, that's why I'm with Isagenix. I'll post a link below and tell you what products. Otherwise, like I said Vitamin Shoppe has plain BCAA's W/Glutamine.. very harsh taste....but they do the trick! :) I do use the aminos before and after, but you do not have to. Doesn't need to be broken out like that, I just do :) The Isagenix brand dosage is 2 scoops, so I do break it out. Vitamin Shoppe, I would use them before your workout and maybe some at night before bed for recovery.

I sometimes use it more because I know some of the benefits of aminos and it's effects on cravings.. so I use it a bit more some days.

Here is the Amino supplement I use:
