Hi Krisztine!

It's great that you put a rotation together for yourself.

A few questions -- what's "Spinning" -- not familiar with that term

Also is SS Super Sets? I don't have some of these workouts that you have -- don't have the Slow & Heavy or KPC -- is that all cardio?

Depending on your level of fitness, it's usually a good idea to put a day or two between interval (anaerobic) workouts and a day between strength/weights workouts -- so that the muscles can recover. From my understanding, cardio can be inserted between workouts or could even be done everyday. Did you put aside a day for pure stretch? That's the only thing that looked to me like it might be missing.

Don't know if this helps at all. Hope so.

Thank you so much Karen,
Of course your advice has helped.
I will check if I have enough days between the interva and strength/weight workouts.

Yes, you were right, SS is Supersets. S&H is weight training and focuses on two bodyparts/workout. Triceps-Biceps,Back-chest,Shoulder -Legs
Spinning is a spinning bike and it is a cardio workout.
KPC is cardio too and core training at the end.

Well, you are right I will need to do stretch as well. I just don't see right now which day I should "take off" and do pure stretch.

Thanks again!

Krisztina

Hi!

I'm glad it helped, if even a little. Depending on your fitness level, you might consider taking an entire day off and just stretch. Unless you're really in tip-top shape and an all around athelete, it's a good idea to give yourself a day off -- one can overtrain, the result of which might be injury -- which of course really puts you off your schedule...

Again, you know your body better than I do, and these are all just suggestions.

Have fun! Looks like it'll be fun.:7

Hi Karen Kay,

I will make some changes so that I will have time for stretch.
Since I have the flu/in April!?/ and pneumonia I spent couple hours with reading previous posts. I found very helpful all your posts and I ordered the bok, Ready,Set,Go.
I also likes the way you explained the anaerob, aerob and other terms. Since english is my second language sometimes hard to figure out what those terms mean and I just give up to understand them. You explanation was wonderful.

Thanks!

Krisztina

Hi Krisztina,

I'm so sorry that you've been under the weather. Never any fun. But it's a good thing that you're up and about and getting ready to exercise.

What's you native language, by the way -- and are you from another country, or live here in the US?

Wow, thanks for your compliment -- makes me feel good. You'll really like that book, READY, SET, GO! He puts in simple language the basics of exercise so that you really can think with it.

Have a great evening.:7

Hi Karen,

I'm from Hungary my native language is Hungarian. I'm living in Pittsburgh with my family since 2001. I'm a special educator and working with children with Cerebral Palsy.

Yes, I'm ready to exercise. Actually, I'm missing my daily workout.
Do you work out only at home or you are member at the gym?
I used to have membership to the gym but after I found Cathe I just started to workout at home. For me this is so convenient.

Have a nice day!

Krisztina

Hi Krisztine,

Wow, you're a special educator -- that's so very cool. Hungarian -- I must admit that I am not very worldly -- I've hardly been out of the US -- of course there's alot to see in the US, but...

Do you miss Hungary? But anyway, welcome to America.

Actually I work at home and I exercise at home and have exercised at home for years and years and years. Many years ago -- about 20 -- I had a membership to a club -- but decided that I could exercise at home and never went back. It's just so convenient -- plus, now that I've found Cathe, I don't feel like I'm missing anything.

Anyway, have a terrific evening.:7

Hi Krisztina,

Just did IMAX the original today and thought of you when Cathe said to be sure to put 2 days between anaerobic workouts. I hadn't really noticed that before -- but thought I'd pass along the info.

Have a great one.

Hi Karen,

Thank you for the information. Before I found this forum, I just did the workouts randomly. There were days when I only did the IMAX2 because I thought I will burn more fat and calories.Probably, that's why I felt so tired and exhausted after couple days, and wasn't able to workout at all for few days.

My rotation will start on Monday. I will make a new one because the one I posted earlier, does'n t seem good.
I have to start gradually because I wasn't able to do any workout in the last 5 days.
I will also eliminate the circuit-type of workouts from this rotation and focus on to have my stamine and endurance back.
Today I biked about 15 minutes and did CoreMax. Hopefuly tomorrow I can leave the house and take a walk in the neighborhood.
I have Bootcamp and other circuit trainings but I allways found them very hard.
What is your favorite?/if you have one/.

Have a nice evening!

Krisztina

Hi Krisztina,

I'm so glad that you ordered that book,READY, SET, GO! by Phil Campbell, because it takes you through the basics of exercise and what's what and you become so informed that you can really become your own coach, so to speak.

Yes, it would be good to start at this by increments -- build up your endurance, etc. And then before you know it, you'll be doing it all. But one really must start at a gradient approach -- like I said, one can over train. And with anaerobics, because the heart rate goes up so high, one should alternate days with weights, cardio and etc.

My favorite workouts are IMAX2 and Muscle Endurance. I really, really like these. After those, I like them all -- probably my favorite circuit type workout is High Step Training Advanced. But I've been exercising now for 20 years -- about 5-6 days a week -- and have been exercising intensely with Cathe for about 6-7 months now. I do like IMAX3 cause it's a bit like IMAX2, but IMAX3 is much more difficult for me and so I have to talk myself into it -- whereas with IMAX2 or IMAX the original, they are simply pleasures.

Okay, have a great evening, Krisztina.
